Following the brutal massacre perpetrated on October 7, 2023, by the terrorist groups Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and even by ordinary Palestinians in southern Israel, a huge wave of antisemitism was unleashed worldwide, in which there is no restraint or shame in expressing hatred through hoaxes, prejudices, and accusations against Jews and/or the State of Israel, which has become "the Jew among nations."

Thus, almost at the end of July, an unpleasant incident occurred with a group of about 50 visibly Jewish French teenagers, as they were carrying items typical of Judaism, such as kippot or skullcaps and tzitzim or fringes worn by the most religious, who had participated in a holiday camp and were returning to France on a Vueling flight from Valencia to Paris.
The crew accused the young men of being troublemakers and of tampering with items such as masks, life jackets, and an oxygen cylinder; the pilot, without leaving the cockpit, called the Civil Guard; the young men's cell phones were illegally confiscated; the videos that would prove their innocence were erased; with extreme violence, the madrija or monitor, was handcuffed (this is the only thing that was recorded on video) and arrested; and they were removed from the plane, leaving them stranded at the airport.
The airline is obligated to investigate what happened, but so far it has limited itself to issuing accusatory statements, assuming the teenagers are guilty. The defendants deny this account, as do some passengers. Apparently, one of the teenagers said a word in Hebrew and others responded—it was a camp game—but one of the flight attendants told them to be quiet, and they remained calm.
Despite the bitter taste left in our mouths by the abuse inflicted on this group of children, perhaps everything should be reduced to waiting for the results of an investigation. However, this incident generated a series of slanderous stories on social media and in the media.
One of them, an article published in The Razón, from Spain (26/07/2025), written by Juan Ramón Lucas, under the title “The unbearable superiority of the chosen ones”, who a priori decides that the Jews are guilty and as if he himself had been on that flight, seeing with his own eyes what happened, noted: “They exhibit their hatred of the Arabs wrapped in the victimhood that justifies everything, and they expect to be applauded” and pretends to understand Hebrew, since he falsely translates: “death to the Arabs” or “your people will burn”; he disrespects young people by calling them “brats” which according to the dictionary means a presumptuous young person and accuses them of a “chulesca” attitude which means an arrogant form of behavior. From there he continues with a string of deceptions, repeating the manipulation of sensitive material, when it is already known that they are not within reach, but are activated by the crew. Another inconsistency by Lucas is his claim that the monitor was subdued and handcuffed at the terminal, but in the only video that survived the crew's raid to erase testimony, it is seen that this occurred on the plane itself.
Lucas (and I'm not referring to the children's cartoon) reproaches the Jews for "using" the problem of antisemitism and mocks: "it's a return to the old argument of victimhood to justify any action...
If the Jews have been victims of repression and crime since time immemorial, if in recent history they have suffered episodes of brutal and systematic murder, if, in addition, they are and always will be God's chosen people, how dare the rest of us question their right to defend themselves and their superiority over any other human being?
That is to say, according to this "genius," we Jews have no right to defend ourselves even when we are attacked with clearly anti-Semitic matters, and as if he had been present during the incident, he accuses the young people of "that spirit" and immediately juggles to jump from this case and metaphorically land in Israel, which cannot be absent in today's anti-Semitism.
He speaks of demonstrations "in front of the Gaza border to prevent humanitarian aid trucks from entering, should their government allow it." However, let's save Lucas from ignorance: those who eat "publicly and ostentatiously while a few meters away people die of hunger" are the Palestinian terrorists facing the hostages in Gaza, who have recounted the torture they suffered, including hunger, evident when they were released many pounds lighter.
There's a confusion in Luke. He speaks of Israelis protesting against the government and the army, "But their voice has little echo in such an anesthetized society." That is, are those protesting part of Israeli society or not? Are they mobilized or anesthetized? And he brutally goes on to compare Israeli society to the Nazis, which is not only misleading but morally reprehensible.
It's worth remembering that Israel's government has been democratically elected by its citizens, and has been since its rebirth. There was no Franco there, and its governments have always been as legitimate, if not more so, than those of Spain. Then he speaks of "censorship and manipulation of the Israeli media," when every day, 100% of the media publish or broadcast critical positions; it turns out that the Israeli press is irreverent and the least submissive to power… Of course, these "errors" arise when you speak from animosity. By the way, no court has been able to determine the genocide; even Ireland is trying to change the definition, adapting it to accuse Israel.
The disqualification of "Greater Israel" was inevitable, but this flies in the face of reality: it's enough to remember that, in the 1967 Six-Day War, which Israel didn't initiate, its territory increased by 300%, and that territory has been returned through peace treaties; for example, Israeli territory covers 20.000 square kilometers, and Sinai covers 2 square kilometers, returned to Egypt after the signing of the Camp David Accords in 61.000.
Another example: in 1991, during the Gulf War, following Saddam Hussein's invasion of Kuwait, Iraq launched 39 Scud missiles against Israeli cities; Israel did not react so as not to fracture the coalition. The story itself debunks Lucas's far-fetched anti-Semitic theories. Furthermore, it exposes generalizations: "If a Jew insults you and you respond, you are anti-Semitic."
Even worse, he deceives in order to certify what he wanted to prove: "the image of children turned into sacks of skin and bones by a country whose present and future citizens believe they have the right to board a plane and fill the air with chants as miserable as those of the Nazis who killed their great-grandparents." Of course, the photos of a pair of skeletal children are a disgrace, but not for Israel, but for the media that exploits their tragedies, their congenital illnesses, to expose them. This has been proven by the investigation into these cases and by the restoration of the cropped family photos, which show their healthy siblings.
The author of this frivolous article doesn't know what really happened and blames children who, according to other passengers' accounts, didn't see any disturbance or misbehavior; and, for safety reasons, weren't allowed to manipulate any of the plane's components. Lucas's anti-Semitic hatred blinds him and leads him to tell incomplete stories that are detached from the truth.
