BCCCI delegation paid a courtesy call on Mr. S.M. Mannan (Kochi), President BGMEA

A delegation from the Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI) headed by its Secretary General Mr. Al Mamun Mridha and Mohd. Khorshed Alam , honorable advisor of BCCCI paid a courtesy call on BGMEA President Mr. S.M. Mannan (Kochi) on 6 May 2024 at the BGMEA Office Uttara in Dhaka.

Mr. Khandoker Rafiqul Islam, Senior Vice-President of BGMEA, Mr. Abdullah Hil Rakib and other directors of BGMEA, Ms. Meherun Nessa Islam, director of BCCCI, Syed Aminul kabir, director, Wasim Zakariah, member and Md Abu Taher office Secretary of BCCCI were also present at this meeting.
Mr. Mannan expressed his gratitude at the friendship between Bangladesh and China that BCCCI helps to foster and said that China is our largest trade partner, key supplier of raw materials, all weather friend and a key development partner. He also expressed his desire to work together to reduce the trade gap between Bangladesh and China. Mr. Islam expressed his desire for a joint technology and accessories summit between BCCCI and BGMEA as well as sought BCCCI help in arbitration matters for disputes.
Mr. Al Mamun Mridha proposed to BGMEA to work together on joint research, joint dispute resolution when it comes to Chinese companies. BCCCI also sought more participation from BGMEA members in China related trade fairs to increase presence in Chinese market and establish a joint working committee for Chinese business affairs.
