BATTLEFIELDS/From Two months ago, an even more sophisticated fighting game appeared. Mortal Kombat lets players select one of 12 alien fighters. Raiden, Liu Kang and the others all have individual supernatural moves that range from firing lightning bolts to being able to disappear. All strive to beat Goro, a 2,000- year-old, four-armed, half-human half-dragon who lost his last bout 500 years ago. What makes the game really interesting is that most characters have a realistic human look rather than an animated appearance.
