Rose & Laporte Directory
If you find yourself wanting to read about two best buds with a pair of curses that could inspire a Godzilla film, you’ve come to the right place.
Atticus Laporte (he/him): Musician, Secret Foodie, Just Under 4 ½ Inches Tall.**
**technically the man is a size shifter, but there are some pretty strict limitations on that. Homeboy is a tiny 95% of the time.
Quinn Rose (they/them): Singer, Drag Queen, **Half a Kaiju and Loving It.
**Quinn for the most part stays a fairly normal human size. They were pretty tall to begin with.
A Shift In Perspective: Atticus and Quinn have been best friends for as long as either of them can remember. They grew up together, they have an apartment together, they started a band together, and after an incredibly brief encounter with members of a roaming girl gang known as the Hex Hags, they were cursed together.
The Guitar: Pt. 1: Atticus is learning to accept the new aspects of his situation as a very small person, but there are still a few things bothering him. He’ll eventually find it within himself to want to be seen by others, but the thing he truly cannot get over is how much he misses playing his guitar.
The Guitar: Pt. 2: Atticus’ world has dramatically shifted once again as he learns that his new curse is a little less straightforward than previously suspected. The good news? He’s been reunited with his favorite thing in the world and nothing else matters.
Road Rage: Quinn has an interesting encounter on the highway, Atticus laughs himself to the point of speechlessness, questions are asked, concerns are exposed.
You Need To Get Out More: Pt. 2: Atticus and Angela go to the bar where they vibe and keep it tight with the owner and the bartender. Atticus faces the mortifying ordeal of being known and finds that the drinks on the other side of being a hermit are delicious and effective.
The Fall: Atticus starts to learn how to control his own curse, shifting to normal size at will, then nearly kills himself shifting back while trying to help Quinn with the groceries. Quinn suffers several heart attacks before helping him out as best they can
Guilt & Omelets: Quinn isn’t feeling very well. Atticus has shifting points saved and decides to use them on the friendly gesture of a warm afternoon breakfast.
Snapshots: This is a beach episode without the beach. A snapshot of three old friends just vibing together one afternoon. There really isn’t much more to it than that.
Billboard From A Personal Hell: Atticus receives the sort of text that he used to dream about, only to find that it has been leading to a nightmare scenario all along. Quinn does their very best to comfort someone whose soul is shattering into pieces while keeping their own intact.
Witching Hour Curly Fries: Pt.1: The duo experiences a night of sleeplessness, Quinn tries to convince Atticus to come on a 3am trip for fries, Atticus admits to his feelings on pockets.
Witching Hour Curly Fries: Pt. 2: Sitting in a parked car in the middle of the night, Quinn and Atticus have serious discussion on whether or not Atticus is really okay. Atticus, against his own better judgement, spills everything.
We Need To Talk About Atticus: Angela stops by the salon after hours to get a quick haircut from Quinn. They chatter for a while about a lot of things, but most importantly, how they plan to make their very sad friend smile again.
10/19: Today is a birthday.
Making Bets, Taking Shots: A wizard named Quimby bets Atticus that he can’t finish his shot. Atticus takes him up on this offer, and before long everyone in Nakahara’s Cellar is involved.
The Prototype: Angela wants Atticus to test out his late birthday gift, with the hope that if all goes well, it will lead to more of a similar nature. Atticus feels seen in ways he never has before and struggles with how to properly say thank you.
Rainy Day Introspection: It’s a rainy morning and Atticus is taking a good long look inward. Strings are plucked, realizations are made, but all in all a boy just wants to make Grandma happy.
