Cueva del Esplendor (Cave of Splendor)

The Cueva del Esplendor is a must-see in the area of Jardín, Antioquia. It houses a fantastic waterfall, which you can see from inside the cave, and that generates a particular effect that combines the waterfall, the light, the rocks, and the surrounding vegetation. The hike to the cave is done along a well-marked trail in the mountainous and rural landscape that Jardín offers. To save energy since the hike requires good physical condition, some people make a first stretch to the Alto de Las Flores in a vehicle or on horseback and start from there. The trail is on private property and an access fee is charged.
