no hate to you luv I'm just gonna say something: while I do think this is a valid criticism on my part, some people really do get entitled and nitpicky over other art that is about diversity, I've noticed. and the criticism is said with such malice too that it makes me adverse.
Literally saw someone say something like 'Why doesn't Salem ever draw them with double chins? He's FAKE' a day or so ago. You're really good for representation imo Your body types are always awesome

i want to find a way to incorporate double chins in my art that feels natural to my art style cuz it bothers me too. but calling me "fake" is fucking weird when I'm not only fat but have a second chin too 😭 like I said, it comes off as malicious and not genuine feedback.
I also think there's something to say about how you primarily draw furries- which have MUZZLES so their chin is farther out so a fatter neck would just look different- but I hope u find a way to incorporate them if that's what you're searching for!! I love seeing ur art develop
I have a double chin snd like i love ur art and ur work and yeah like i want to see more work with double chins but like no one ever talks about mine or compliments except to critic others i say ur work is wonderful
Things like that never feel like they’re in good faith, just used as a “gotcha”. Marginalized artists feel like they’re often held to such a higher standard as an excuse to disregard them.
Hitch's got one, has he not? Still, there's a way to criticize artists without sounding vindictive.
Some fat people have double chins. Some have single chins. Your art being about diversity doesn't mean you have to lump in every fat stereotype someone can think of. Draw what makes you happy in the way that makes you happy. I don't see those people drawing any double chins. Just complaining.
there's a big difference between "yeah I wish we had more of X" and "fuckin you didn't draw it as X get the fuck out"
as if what you choose to draw in your own art of your own sona is for other people to decide either get a commission so that 'maybe' you have some level of sway in how a piece is done (and even then, you're paying for a service not purchasing their time for them to bend over for you) or fuck off?
We're seeing it a ton with the gaming industry these days. Just saw a video where some went out of their way to make "anit-woke mods" for Baldur's Gate 3. They could , just not play that content, it would be simpler. bit like you said, they're entitled.
