wolfertinger666Rebloggedwolfertinger666Followso uh I watched SINNERS.wolfertinger666getting back to this, it's just SOOOO refreshing to see a black movie that takes place in the rural South Jim Crow era and like, NOT BE BLACK TRAUMA PORN FOR ONCE THANK GOD!!!!i was a lil scared sinners was going to head that direction, but if anything, I left more encouraged to be proud to be black and create black art for my people and other people of color too.i just, love the themes and stuff I looked mega deep into that affects me personally and people I love deeply personally. it's just nice to see a black film that's literally about our forced cultural assimilation and robbery of our art through such creative lenses.
