hideki passed away too early to ever see Hitomi come out as a trans girl but he would have loved her the same.

also Hitomi chooses to dress more neutral or present less feminine as a trans girl because she loves it, it's her gender expression. she's still the sweetest girl ever albeit a lil shy and stoic.
i feel like trans women should be allowed to dress and present however they want and Hitomi is a representation of that, especially with her cute big eyebrows (kissable)
