It’s time to stop dragging our feet and start subsidizing electric vehicles across the board. Not just Teslas. All of them. If you want a serious transition, you don’t make it harder for people to get out of a gas-powered car. You make it easier to ditch it. That means real tax credits, point-of-sale discounts, faster charger deployment, and state buyback programs for aging gas fleets. No more excuses.
The oil lobby doesn’t run this country unless we keep letting it. We already know the tech is here. We already know combustion engines are outdated. And we already know that clinging to gas is just a lazy excuse to keep people tied to maintenance-heavy, pollutant-belching machines that cost more to run and kill people with respiratory illness.
You want energy independence? You want clean air? You want to stop being price-gouged every time there’s a refinery issue or a war on the other side of the planet? Then phase out gas vehicles. Full stop.
This isn’t about vibes. It’s about infrastructure, health, and national security. Enough with the lip service. Make the shift happen.
