That’s right. Shreveport. Bossier City. The rest of northwest Louisiana. You did this. You voted for a soft-spoken theocrat who built his career defending abusers behind a curtain of religion. Your district is falling apart. Healthcare is failing. Wages are trash. Infrastructure is rotting. Your kids leave the second they get a chance. But you keep clapping for a man who hates gay people and clutches his Bible while blocking the release of a pedophile client list.
You are broke. You are polluted. Your schools are underfunded. Your cops are corrupt. Your churches are political machines. And yet, your loyalty goes to a man who just protected the most powerful child predator ring this country has ever seen.
