Respectfully, Senator, the real issue isn’t robots. It’s who controls them and whether workers are included in the future or thrown aside. Automation isn’t the problem. The problem is when corporations use it to erase jobs without offering people a path forward. We don’t need to fear progress. We need to regulate it. That means paid retraining, guaranteed human oversight roles, and AI taxes that fund wages, not executive bonuses. People want dignity, not pity. We can have both technology and humanity if we write the laws to protect them.
