Egalitarianism is a political philosophy which advocates the importance of equal treatment of everyone or even every species. It can come in many different forms, such as legal egalitarianism, political egalitarianism, and etc.

Yacobianism[edit | edit source]
Yacobianism is the Christian ethical philosophy of 17th century Ethiopian philosopher Zera Yacob, expressed in his two "Inquiries" (Ḥätäta).
Based in Oriental Orthodox thought, Yacobianism believes in equality of all living beings and harmony. Whatever brings inequality or disrupts harmony is thus seen as evil. Zera Yacob also criticised slavery decades before more famous philosophers.

Critics of Egalitarianism believes that Egalitarianism is being too utopian and practically impossible to realize.
