But anyway, how many years of updates the phone gets or what it's made of is completely irrelevant to me
What i'm interested in are improvements to screen, speakers, performance, battery, camera etc all of which the S25 Ultra barely if at all improved over the past 2 years
Idk about else but the cameras are absolutely not worse on the Chinese phones, have you ever seen how big their sensors are? They may look ugly but so are the S25 Ultra's fake camera rings which also have no function

For some people like me coming from Note 9 to S25 Ultra is a huge upgrade. But if you buy chinese phones like Vivo or Oppo or One+ you will regret buying. OS user experience, camera and built quality is very inferior. Plus point is the battery and few cameras thats it. No 7 yrs of update or titanium built. IP 69 is just a gimmic. So think before upgrading.

I upgraded to this phone in March and 4 months later, honestly, i regret it, it wasn't worth it no matter how i look at it
The S8+ as the first flagship phone i ever bought and i've been upgrading every 2 years ever since
I've had the S8+, Note 10+, S21 Ultra, S23U and now this
Each time i jumped, the upgrades were big and noticeable except this time
The phone is big, bulky and uncomfortable to use, the battery barely improved, One Ui 7 is a shameless cheap ugly ios copy, the camera and S Pen got downgraded, the phone's a complete mess
I've been thinking about jumping ship and trying out Xiaomi's Ultra flagship, maybe next year

The smaller the screen, the higher the pixel density
The S6 has a tiny 5.1 inch 1440p screen and as a result has 577 pixel density
If you want more density on a bigger screen, you need a higher resolution, but so far only Sony has gone above 1440p and they only did it on a few phones because resolution that high on a small phone screen is a gimmick, it's not a 60 inch tv screen

AndroidUser15, 14 Jul 2025Is it interesting to anyone else that this phone has less p... moreMy Galaxy Note 9 has 529 ppi and when i compared side by side with my S25 Ultra, i can distinguish the screen quality easily. Note 9 screen looks more sharp and brighter in normal day today tasks, but when you watch Hdr10+ videos on Youtube, then you will notice S25 Ultra screen is more brighter and very sharp. Its because they have added Pro scale engine which makes difference alot.
But I hope next year Samsung adds Si-Ca battery and also improve in camera dept. Besides these they should also give bluetooth Spen which was the most important selling point.
Rest I dont think they need any major improvements.

Almost identical battery specs except for a new generation in the wireless charging technology as the S20 Ultra.

about the battery, samsung needs to step up. Back in 2020, this battery was amazing, best you could get. now samsung is the hare taking a nap at the halfway point.
we have Realme and Honor putting 7000 mAh batteries on their devices now. Oneplus, Xiaomi, and Oppo giving 6000 mAh not far behind. But samsung, still using 5000 mAh EXCEPT for in the M series, and even that only lasted for the Mx5 phase. those are mid range devices maybe $500 CAD BUT, OF COURSE, they are only available in India and China. Even Apple plans to put a 5000 mAh battery in the iPhone 17. Samsung, you need to Upgrade.

I live in Latvia and Samsung's official service center performs warranty repairs in 2+ weeks. You could say there is no warranty because it is very long. I needed to replace the microphone and it took 1.2 hours and 45 euros at another workshop.

I would not have ever bought this phone in a gazillion years if I would have only known that it did not come with a microSD slot. Back when I had my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 ultra I had two things that I preferred: I preferred a headphone jack and a microSD card slot. Then when I bought Samsung Galaxy Note 20 I was irked because low and behold the headphone jack was gone. I'm sorry but only gym noobs use Bluetooth earbuds. But us geeks who like to watch s*** on our phone, we prefer the audio to sync up with the video and it just doesn't happen when you are using Bluetooth.
And now they've really gone and done it by removing the microSD card slot. This is a ploy to try to get people to pay for cloud storage. Are you freaking insane? Get a clue! I am so sick of the greedy technology world nowadays and I am baffled at the young people of this world just bending right over for them. Are you guys freaking insane like literally we used to download our music on kazza, we used to download our movies on BearShare, we used to download television shows on LimeWire, and do you seriously in a gazillion trillion years think that my generation is okay with whack crap like this? Get a freaking clue!

If you contact Sammy support they'll likely charge you to ship it to them...
If not, you could take it to a basic phone repair shop, they'll likely repair it but make sure to go at a certified shop, as not to void the warranty in case of other problems....

If you are Using One UI 8 Beta version based on Android 16, the camera version is 16.0.00.33. The quality has been improved slightly than before with better OIS.

Your answer does not contribute anything, to the issue itself.
If I would live in Berlin / New York / Dubai or Singapore...
I would just pop up in the next Samsung Store and sort out the issue on the spot.

Bought the S25Ultra in February.
Since a couple of weeks the Camera started flickering, (Photo & Video) right away while using.
Imagine paying over Euro 1200 + and now, THIS... :(
The Software is up to date, with the June security patch, but strangely the Camera Software Version is still stuck on 15.0.01.71 !???
While my older Samsung S22Ultra & S23Ultra run already the Camera Software Version 15.0.02.43
After reading a lot, I guess that its a hardware problem & Camera module needs to be exchanged.
Unfortunately where I live, there is NO Samsung Support Center, which I could refer too.
The nearest would be in the UAE, but therefore would have to send it by airfreight, for a fix... who will pay for the additional expenses and the loss!?
"TOTALLY DISAPPOINTING...will be my last SAMSUNG, if it cant be sorted out."
Note: I depend on the phone to 100% for my work, taking up to 350 to 400 photos/videos daily...was promoting Samsung each day to my clients...

Apple is cheaper in US while Samsung is cheaper than Apple here in India. The amount of Samsung priduces phones every year from a low budget to top tier Flagships, Apple cant beat straight away.
Samsung offers 120 hzr display even in midrange phones while Apple cant even give such diplay on 16 or 16 plus which are flagships. Because Apple only cares more about Pro and Pro max. Thats why people hate apppe because even after charging $799 they cant even provide basic requirement of consumers.
Poor apple fan boys are and will always keep crying. Hahahahaha

CPU - Exystove lagchip and slowdragon lagchip both are TERRIBLE!! Both of them are LIGHT YEARS behind all powerful APPLE A class chips! NONE of these slowdroid chips are anywhere CLOSE to Apple! Display on scamsung is HORRIBLE! - Green line here red line there issues EVERYWHERE!

Chinese products here in India has influenced so much, only budget friendly phones are sold. Their flagships are also cheaper here. OnePlus 13 costs $600 while Samsung S25 Ultra costs whopping $1450 that too for 12gig 256 gb vairent. The 512 gb costs $1600 here which is closer to Fold 6 price.

Good Lock modules, Spen, samsung dex, much bigger gcam community compared to any chinese manufactured phone, way more features with hidden gems like delete screenshot after it was shared and so on. 7 major OS updates, fairly cheap battery changes if you need (70euros in official warranty service).
Price? About the same in my country. Samsung costs a little more than oneplus which is not much (100-200 euros at most depending on the reseller).
If you don't like it it's okay. But samsung is no1 android for a reason lol like it or not. There is no perfect smartphone but samsung is probably the closest to that. If only samsung had faster charging + different camera software(thanks god we have decent gcam community)....
