I have created posts spreading awareness of the femicide in Dharmasthala in many subreddits, am i guilty? XD

Oh, and I also edited wikipedia page of Dharmasthala to add a piped link to Dharmasthala mass burials

Technically. but in practice the more influential people will be targeted, as the information trickles down from them

The title makes it seem like the court ordered him to delete the links.

He has managed to get a 'gag order' from the court which instructs anyone who posted anything online about this issue to delete their own posts, failing which they will be held in contempt of court.

Simply put, rich man weaponized the court system to shut down discussion of possible heinous crimes. It is a stab at the heart of freedom of expression.

No victims are at risk here. Only a few rich bastards who think they can get away with anything.

This being the internet, I can't wait for the discussion to explode 10x.

Wtf.

Gag orders on this temple has been going on for over a decade now. Jain ummah and money gets things like this done. No party want to risk their funds cut by getting canceled by the community. Like USA.

Kudos to Third Eye for challenging the order, standing up for freedom of expression

Burial of everything

An attempt to hide, remove, or censor a piece of information has the unintended consequence of publicizing the information more widely, usually facilitated by the internet.

AKA the Streisand Effect. Can't wait for it to happen here.

Hmm so they want this shushed. Now, I'll spread it even more.

Why does it seem like this issue just didn't get enough outrage in the first place?

"Gag order" has no place in a democracy, I am surprised that Supreme Court has allowed this to happen.

It hasn’t gone to the SC or even the HC. Although the Karnataka HC does have a history of allowing these gag orders

This country is turning into a horror story with each passing day.

There is no surprise in this, even after getting to know 100’s of unaccounted bodies government is least concerned! That’s the state of affairs we have in our country

This Dharmasthala stuff is by far the most chilling story I have read in recent times. 100s of bodies? Nobody cared? No outrage all these years? People still kept going back to that town?

The court issued an ex parte injunction, citing potential irreparable harm to Harshendra’s reputation and the institutions linked to the temple.

The gag order prohibits any future publication or transmission of defamatory content about Harshendra, his family, and temple-run institutions until the next hearing.

I must confess I didn't know of the story until this update. So, thank you Harshendra?

Let's talk more about heinous crimes against women and even children done in Dhramasthala temple by Dhramadhikari's brother. FUCK THE SYSTEM!!!
