Tell that to the Canadians visiting Old Orchard Beach. It is teeming with Canadians. Why would anyone want to visit Communist Canada?

No it isn’t, not trying to be argumentative but they just aren’t here this year and that is a fact. I’ve lived here on pine point for 30+ years and am in OOB regularly (2-3x per week). There are a few Quebec plates but nowhere near the volume of Canadians we are used to seeing. Go to the Saco Hannaford on a Friday or Saturday and you hear almost no French speakers when for years that was the majority of what you heard as they arrived and shopped for the week! They just aren’t coming this year and I think that’s a sad and unfortunate own goal. I hope things return to normal next summer.

Says you. You sound like someone from Massachusetts. Many in Maine rely on dollars from Canada

The entire Republican Party in the Senate has just voted to approve Bove for the judgeship that Trump nominated him to. Without allowing any discussion or consideration of his extremely dangerous and egregious behavior, such as suggesting that Trump just defy court orders if he disagrees with their decisions.

They all should be voted out for that alone, as it violated the oath to the Constitution to which they swore.

Collins is way past her pull date.

I agree with you. My prediction is Collins, Mitch McConnell and Murkowski will vote no, and Vance will be the tie breaking vote for this terrible nominee.

An oath to the constitution includes adherence with immigration laws passed by congress. The democrat party has no moral ground to talk about oaths. The entire top echelon of miscreants is going to be charged with crimes. Democrats are the ones with a history of nullifying federal law.

Epstein's career sullied the reputations of politicians and others on BOTH sides of the aisle...and beyond. Bill Clinton, Alan Dershowitz, Prince Andrew...the list goes on and on. The fact remain, Donald Trump and Epstein were best partying buddies for many years.

I don't blame the Canadians one bit, and I think we should have let the British tax the tea 250 years ago.

Larry, enjoy the summer. Maybe in your spare time you could review the unfair trade practices, especially in the timber industry, Canada uses against the US.

consumer spending is down & the labor market is softening, but at least Americans get to pay more for the same products now

Agreed. Our country is a mess. Collins and the felon should not have been elected. We tried to tell them.
