The success of the Nintendo DS was the product of years of testing and original ideas by Nintendo and their list of consoles; this magnificent console deserved every success it had by giving a brilliant dual screen never seen before in the gaming world, as well as the ingenious usage of touch controls. Following its popularity, the Nintendo DS was followed by many iterations, including the original DS, DS Lite, DSi, and DSi XL.
These variants paved the way for Nintendo to include a plethora of varieties, limited editions, and colors in order to cater to a diverse variety of fans. These versions include licensed stuff such as Pokémon, Final Fantasy, Super Mario, and Zelda, as well as a wide range of distinctive rare and common colors. In today’s piece, we’ll go over all of the Nintendo DS models, color variations, and limited editions, offering full pictures, names, and specifications.

Backward Compatible with Gameboy Advance Games
As the first model of the Nintendo DS lineup, the Nintendo DS fat was a showcase of Nintendo technology delivering a clamshell design with a 3-inch bottom touchscreen, and a 3-inch top LCD screen, with the ability to play games from both the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance libraries. The Nintendo DS fat was also equipped with wireless technology allowing for local multiplayer gaming. While the first model screen is vastly inferior to the legendary DS Lite system it still offers a great way to experience the DS library for cheap.
