Well Patty where do I begin. You’re obviously very clever, and very eloquent when you’re given the chance to show it. I love listening to you give an opinion on anything in the world because I know you can back it, even if I can’t fully understand it. It’s easy to respect you and what you say.

You’re also very caring, which is evidenced by everything you say and do; in particular I notice how you inquire after my butch and what he is feeling up to and how you can spend time with us in a disability-honoring way, which I’m sure to you seems only logical, but in fact shows the extent to which you consider everyone around you, especially people you care about, especially when it comes to any favors you have to ask. You’re always gracious when something doesn’t work out, you don’t need encouragement to remind people how much you love and care about them, and though you’d never give a compliment you didn’t feel was truly earned, you’re also not particularly withholding in that department.

You’re fun to hang out with—I think of you first when I plan something new, even if it ends up being something you’re not interested in or can’t attend. I love talking to you about anything and nothing at all. I particularly love hearing you repeat yourself on something I already know you think; I love having the surreal feeling of recognizing something you’re saying from a video I watched before I ever met you, or just recalling that you’ve already said something exactly the way you’re saying it now. It’s pleasant and comforting, and admittedly I also find it a useful metric to figure out who is fronting. I’ve enjoyed meeting everyone and talking through their differing situations with you. I hope things will improve for you and I will always fight for you; you deserve to have things be kind and easy.
