Australian pinball fans have a cool show coming up in a couple of months. The Melbourne Pinball Expo is scheduled to take place from November 7th through the 9th. The show just shared a video message from Jersey Jack Pinball's Eric Meunier on its Facebook page. He teased his appearance at the show and gave us a tiny sneak peek of JJP's current game, Harry Potter, on the production line.

Speaking about Jersey Jack Pinball, after talk of licensing issues earlier this year cooled the long-standing rumor that Steve Ritchie is going to make a pinball machine based on the iconic 1999 Keanu Reeves SciFi / action film The Matrix, I heard once again that this it may be JJP's next game.

I don't know if that’s true and I don’t have any more information on it than that unfortunately, but I will dig around. After years of us knowing basically every upcoming theme coming from Jersey Jack, this is still the only rumor that I have heard about its next game. I expect JJP to continue to build Harry Potter for quite some time, so we likely won't see its next game until some time late in 2026.

Below are pictures of The Matrix homebrew machine by Pinnovating in a row of Jersey Jack pins at a pinball show in France from several years ago (the game was a modified 1995 Williams Johnny Mnemonic) and a link to an article that I wrote about this rumor here all the way back in May 2023:

Stern Pinball shared an interesting post on its social media feed this morning. They asked their followers "What Video Game Franchise needs a pinball machine?"

I found this particularly interesting because after not really having any pinball machines based on video games, Stern is strongly rumored to have at least two, Pokémon and Fallout video game-esque pins in the works. I have also heard two less strong rumors mentioned as possibilities as well, though I am much, much less sure about them happening - Call of Duty and Mario Bros.

Is Stern setting the stage for these releases? What video game would you like to see get its own pinball machine?

A little while ago, the famous Galloping Ghost arcade in Brookfield, Illinois shared a message on social media stating that they broke a record with 1,000 players in a single day last Saturday. Wow! I love seeing public arcades do well.
