Hi everyone. Welcome to the new KnappArcade.com website. My sons have been encouraging me to upgrade the site for years and with their help and lots of long hours on nights and weekends we have finally done it. Don't worry, right now the plan is to keep the main blog on the site free...as it has been for years. None of the mailing list carried over from the old Wix-based website though, so if you want to continue to receive e-mail updates when new articles are published, you will have to sign up for a new account here.

The new KnappArcade.com has various membership tiers, including a free one. People who wish to contribute to help offset the cost of running the website (which has gone up tremendously), show their appreciation for all of the work that I put into daily news updates, pictures and more or take advantage of the awesome new features of the Knapp Arcade site can upgrade their subscription to one of the premium tiers for as low as $5 per month.

The new features on the site include a forums that will actually be monitored properly to make it friendly and troll free, a database that holds the entire collection of arcade game pictures that I have taken over the years (In Progress), a Marketplace where members can buy and sell games absolutely free of charge (other than their subscription), an arcade and pinball Event Calendar, access to Pinball Map's fantastic location database, Archives of past Knapp Arcade articles (Coming Soon) and a new Podcast (Coming Soon).

I am really proud of all the work that my sons put into designing the new website, but it is still a work in progress. If you have any suggestions about things that you'd like to see added or changed, new features that you'd like, If you'd like to advertise on the site or anything else please reach out to knapparcade@gmail.com. Thanks everyone! I love the Community that we've created together over the years and I'm happy to be able to offer it more.

Yesterday, the pinball distributor PinballSTAR Amusements, shared a post on Facebook that was subsequently also shared by Spooky Pinball itself stating that they have started a list for consumers who are interested in purchasing Spooky's next game - which is set to be revealed in late 2025.

While no title for the game has been officially announced yet, it is heavily rumored to be based upon the 1988 Tim Burton film Beetlejuice. If that's a theme that interests you, you might want to put yourself on the list. Spooky Pinball's current game, Evil Dead, sold out all 888 units and people are still clamoring to get one.

I have two interesting news items about the popular golf arcade game, Incredible Technologies' Golden Tee. First up, the Golden Tee World Championships is being held in Las Vegas this week, specifically July 17th. In the contest, competitors will vie for a whopping $160,000 in prize money in various categories, including Arcade, Mobile, Speedrun, and Doubles.

In other Golden Tee news, the new game called Golden Tee Classics from Atari's software developer Digital Eclipse that I wrote about here a couple of weeks ago releases digitally on the same day as the as the Championships. I know that I am definitely buying it. The game contains a ton of classic Golden Tee titles, similar to the Arcade1Up cabinet, plus the awesome World Championship Bowling and Shuffleshot. It will be available to download for $29.99 on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox and PC (Steam and GOG) on Thursday July 17th.

Speaking of arcade game championships, last week Play Mechanix / Raw Thrills, the maker of Big Buck Hunter, announced that this year's championship for the game will be held in Nashville, Tennessee on October 10th and 11th. Competitors will vie for a piece of $125,000 in cash prizes. The two day event will be streamed live on the game's website, https://www.bigbuckhunter.com/

Oh... and I got on the list for "Spooky's next game" with FlipNOut a few weeks ago. Zach will start a list for literally any game you think may be coming.

Pretty interesting 3-D, light-chasing effect in the center of the playfield. Had one once, that I got from a lady in Manchester NJ. It was purported to have been on location at Palace Amusements in Asbury Park, back in the day.
