In a shock to everyone, including and especially myself, I made good progress on getting things moving again.

Looks like the issue has been resolved at the host’s end. 
Updated Twitter for iPhone has removed TwitLonger support.

Ouch, unfortunately the server really isn’t happy with 20,000,000 hits at once. Doing what I can, but access will be ropey for a bit. Sorry
So, we’ve now moved to Twitter completely suspending my access to their API without warning (this seems to be a common issue for app developers), despite no changes to how TwitLonger works in 15 years.
There is also no longer any way to contact developer support.

For the avoidance of doubt, the “new” TwitLonger isn't some company that takes over abandoned apps and “relaunches” them to suck up personal data for advertising and AI training. It's still just the same single person, doing this as a (sometimes) fun side project.

Hi folks. Sorry for the problems with pages loading. 8 million Lady Gaga fans are all trying to access it at once. Hosting looking into it.
At that point of development where the hard bits are done, and it’s mostly filling out the functionality and polishing the roughest edges.
Of course, the deployment and dealing with servers bit still has to come 
Currently looking for a regularly updated list of AI scraper bots to disallow in the robots.txt file, because that’s a thing we have to worry about now, while also trying not to block useful bots

Automatic sending to Twitter is currently not working as expected due to an unexpected API change, although you should still be able to create TwitLonger posts and share them with the Twitter share button on the post itself.

The first version of the new TwitLonger won’t be massively different, but, because I know you’re asking, yes, it supports dark mode.
Started making some changes to migrate site to new host, first with tl.gd shortener, there may be some (different) disruption for a while.

So, what’s next?
Well, I’ve been working on a completely new version of TwitLonger for a while, that isn’t reliant on Twitter, because there are more places people share things now, and that’s only going to grow in the future.
It’s not quite ready yet, but hopefully soon.

You all talk so much I had to upgrade the hard drives in the server to make room for the database. Will be a little slow while it rebuilds.
Some people asked for additional options in the supporter/paid account types, so added a couple.

Looks like that update is completed now. Think there will be another one same time tomorrow for the another server.
Currently seeing server slowdown, this has been escalated to web host to look into. Apologies for this :(
