I can't help it. 😭 They freak me out. Ever since I was a kid and one flew behind my ear and bit me three times. And while I was freaking out I ran inside and when my mom came over to check on me it left my ear and flew down her shirt and stung her under her arm. I'm usually pretty good at just calmly walking away, but if I have any opening in my clothes that they can fly into I'm terrified of them flying in, getting/feeling trapped, and then attacking me for it. And they always seem to want to buzz around the openings of my clothes.
Are you sure that was a bee?? Bees can generally only sting once, their sting can’t easily break free from human skin. If it sting multiple times, it was probably a wasp. Which are well worth fearing and hating.
Also I relate to a degree. The first time I was ever stung by a bee, I was stung twice in the span of about 10 minutes by two different bees. Took me a while to get on somewhat neutral grounds with them again lol
It was a bumble bee. Bumble bees can sting multiple times. Honey bees have the barbed stingers that fall out more easily. A known nest near our front door that my dad had been planning on dealing with for a while. And I don't think it stung me, it bit me multiple times and saved it's sting for my mom. Maybe it stung me? I just remember 3 sharp pinches behind my ear and had 3 spots of swelling.
Bees don’t bite, if it swelled up then you got stung.
