Umamusume Developer Cygames Is 2025 Kentucky Derby Sponsor

Cygames, developer of the horse girl sim Umamusume: Pretty Derby and other games, announced it will be a sponsor for the 151st Kentucky Derby being held on May 2, 2025. The company will have a booth at the event with that mobile title and other ones between May 2-3, 2025.

The sponsor part of the arrangement will come up with the 1,100 meter Grade III Unbridled Sidney Stakes. The company’s imagery will be present during that race. It will be held at 1:44pm ET on May 2, 2025. This also feels like it is something of a reference to the Umamusume series, as only fillies that are three years old or older can participate in it. As a reminder, there are no male characters to raise and race in the mobile game.

As for the booth, Cygames announced that four games will be playable at its 151st Kentucky Derby, which could hint at an upcoming 2025 release for one of them. Three of the titles showing up are available. These are Granblue Fantasy Relink, Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, and Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond. Umamusume: Pretty Derby is the only one not available worldwide yet, though Cygames teased a launch since 2023. After appearing at the 2023 Google for Games Developer Summit, in June 2024 the developer officially opened a site and social media account. Some of the latest social media account posts discussed elements of the game’s world and the Umamusume: Cinderella Gray anime series

Cygames will sponsor the 151st Kentucky Derby and have a booth with games at the event between May 2-3, 2025 and while there’s no worldwide release date for Umamusume: Pretty Derby yet, it is available on mobile devices in Asia.

New Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero Nendoroids Teased

Good Smile Company announced and shared updates on seven Honkai: Star Rail Nendoroids and two Zenless Zone Zero figures. In the case of the Zenless Zone Zero characters, both are in the unpainted prototype phase. Progress on the Honkai: Star Rail Nendoroids is more mixed and includes both older characters and members of the Chrysos Heirs.

Both of the Zenless Zone Zero Nendoroids are of characters who are part of factions tied to government organizations. Hoshimi Miyabi is a Hollow Special Operations member who is part of Section 6. She’ll come with her weapon. Seth Lowell is a Criminal Investigation Special Response Team Member, and his figure will come with his shield.

Here’s how both of those look so far:

In the case of the seven Honkai: Star Rail Nendoroids, only four unpainted prototypes appeared. The only older character in the bunch is Kafka. The Herta, the five-star version of Herta, Hyacinthia (Hyacine), and Phainon are the others. The Herta, Hyacine, and Phainon are all shown with their respective weapons, and Hyacine will also include her Memosprite Little Ica.

The initial prototype photos for all four appeared:

Some of the Honkai: Star Rail Chrysos Heirs figures are so early in development that there are no pieces of concept art or prototypes yet. These are Anaxagoras (Anaxa), Castorice, and Mydeimos (Mydei).

Which Honkai: Star Rail Chrysos Heirs character do you like best?

This comes after pre-orders for other HoYoVerse series characters appeared. Earlier in July 2025, Good Smile Company started selling the Koleda Belobog and Grace Howard Pop Up Parade SP figures and a Harumasa Asaba Nendoroid.

Honkai: Star Rail is available for the PS5, PC, and mobile devices. Zenless Zone Zero is out on the PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices.
