The first new international specification in 20 years, based on a new concept
[Economy Class Division]

JAL has been ranked number one in the world for the third time in the "World's Best Economy Class" category for 2023, certified by the British company SKYTRAX. In order to ensure a comfortable air journey for all customers, we have developed seats with the highest level of comfort in their class.

We also focus on monitor quality, with a 13-inch 4K touch panel that allows you to enjoy the latest in in-flight entertainment.
(2) The seat is slightly reclined from the start
You'll understand its special features as soon as you sit in it. The angle of the backrest (standard angle) is one inch lower than conventional seats. We have pursued an exquisite angle that allows you to relax even during takeoff and landing, and also makes you feel like "I don't need to recline the seat at this angle" during normal flights.

(6) Spacious! What was business class a while ago is now "premium economy"
The A350-1000 Premium Economy Class is an evolution of the concept of premium. The seat pitch is a maximum of 107cm, providing ample legroom. The shell-type seats do not affect the rear seats even if the backrest is reclined. Privacy is also ensured, and we aimed for a more relaxing experience than in other classes.

It also comes equipped with a 16-inch 4K monitor and a tablet holder for propping up your device, so it's not lacking in functionality.
(7) The world's first electric reclining seat in its class
The seatback and leg rest are equipped with an electric reclining function that allows you to smoothly adjust the backrest and legrest to fit your body with the push of a button under the armrest. This is a world first for Premium Economy Class.

If you raise the leg rest in the front row, you can sit with your legs stretched out as if you were in a fully flat seat.
(8) Privacy is ensured with dividers. It feels like a semi-private room.
Equipped with a privacy partition that opens and closes freely to secure personal space. You won't have to worry about people looking in from the seat next to you. There is also a privacy wing next to the headrest on the aisle side.

[First & Business Class Division]
(9) We have prepared high walls. This is almost a room.
Both first and business class seats are private. JAL's first fully private first class seats are about 157cm high, while business class seats are 132cm high, giving the impression that there are high walls on either side of the aisle. This provides a high level of privacy.

First class is equipped with a 43-inch large 4K monitor, while business class is equipped with a 24-inch large 4K monitor. Enjoy the powerful images in the luxurious private space.
(10) The ceiling in the center row is unobstructed and spacious.
In First and Business Class, the traditional overhead bins in the center rows have been eliminated, creating a spacious, high ceiling of approximately 237cm. This is the same height as an average private home, allowing you to relax and feel like you're at home.

Luggage storage space has been provided under the ottomans in the private compartments, making it easier to take in and out heavy luggage without having to lift it.

When it's time to sleep, First Class cabin attendants will prepare a spacious bed for you, the size of a double bed (maximum width 123cm x length approximately 203cm) with a mattress jointly developed with Airweave.
Business class seats feature fully flat beds, the longest in their class at approximately 198cm in length. To ensure a more comfortable sleep, we provide moisture-wicking, quick-drying bed pads.

We are providing the world's first headrest-mounted speakers in all First and Business Class seats. This allows you to enjoy in-flight entertainment with powerful sound without using headphones. It's amazing because you can hardly hear anything from the seat next to you or the aisle.

In business class, there is a glass sliding door next to the monitor. In first class, there is a single door next to the entrance. When you open these, you will find a wardrobe and hangers. You can hang your jacket or half-length coat.

Your clothes won't get wrinkled even on long-haul flights. By the way, the first-class wardrobe doors are equipped with mirrors, which are handy when you need to tie your tie.
(15) Charging environment has been thoroughly improved
First and business class are equipped with wireless charging, allowing you to charge your smartphone or other devices just by placing it on the seat. There are also Type-A/C USB ports and AC power outlets, so we have taken care to meet all your charging needs.

Inside the amenity pouch is a charging cable with the JAL logo. It can be switched between USB Type-C and Apple Lightning.
(16) We developed a wooden toothbrush that can be used with just water for 30 days.
The contents of the amenity pouch have also been partially renewed. We have stepped up our efforts to eliminate petroleum-based plastics, such as by using paper packaging. Also, for a limited time, we will be offering the "MISOKA" toothbrush, which you can brush with water, in an original JAL version that does not use any petroleum-based plastics. The toothbrush body is made of bamboo, and the bristles are made of nylon made from castor oil. The bristles are coated with nano-minerals, so you can wash off dirt with just water.

In First Class, we offer 100% organic cotton relaxation wear in three sizes: S, M and L.
In Business Class, we provide pullover robes that can be worn over clothing. They are made of "Airy Touch" cotton material woven with the technology of UCHINO, a long-established towel manufacturer. They are made of ultra-thin pile fabric, and feel as if you are wearing air.

(18) In consideration of sustainability, the amenity kits are made from the popular Heraldic Bony material.
The amenity pouches, which use paper bags for the contents and are designed to minimize the use of petroleum-based plastics, were created in collaboration with welfare experiment company "Heralbony." Art by an artist contracted by the company is used in the pouch design. In first class, the exterior is made of Zero Halliburton with an interior lining of Heralbony. In business class, a random selection of six types will be provided.

Traditional Japanese beauty is sprinkled in the chic and calm key color of maroon. Direct expressions are deliberately avoided, and traditional Japanese weaving patterns and designs are hidden in the walls and seats. You will surely be able to feel the refined Japanese aesthetic sense.

To brighten up your precious travel memories, our pre-ordered in-flight meals are now even more delicious and have a wider selection. In First and Business Class, you can enjoy a course-style vegan and vegetarian menu created by Chef Fumio Yonezawa. In Premium Economy and Economy Class, you can enjoy upgraded in-flight meals for an additional fee.

The in-flight entertainment system installed on the in-flight monitors has expanded its content. For the first time on JAL's international flights, live TV allows passengers to watch TV channels being broadcast in real time. In addition, real-time external cameras, text news, and an increased number of e-books, magazines, and foreign language content are also available to enjoy.

The exterior camera has been adopted for domestic flights, starting with the A350-900, and is a popular feature. You can view real-time footage from two perspectives: forward view and tail view.
(23) Equipped with a personalization function to support each customer's journey
The revamped in-flight entertainment system is now "personalized" to suit your journey. For example, you can check the information of your connecting flights, and a timeline is displayed showing the schedule of meals and other services. It's now easier to plan your itinerary on board and at your destination.

Finally, the A350-1000 is a big step forward compared to its predecessors of the same size. It uses 53% carbon fiber composite materials and is equipped with the latest Rolls-Royce engines. This improves fuel efficiency and reduces CO2 emissions by up to 25%. It boasts excellent quietness and a very quiet cabin.

The cabin specifications and services of the A350-1000 were developed over a period of five years under the concept word "Design Your Story," which combines three elements: "The ultimate in relaxation and comfort (safety and comfort)," "Concierge service in the sky," and "A sustainable experience created together with customers." The cabin specifications and services were custom-made in collaboration with Airbus, with a focus on JAL's original specifications.
This is not an extension of the traditional Sky Suite that has been well received by customers, but rather a major project that the team has worked on as a whole in 20 years to incorporate completely new value.
