I actually do wonder, was there a reason you put specific songs in chapter 8/any chapter? I wonder specifically about Ptolemaea from chapter 8. Do you just think it fits the vibe, or do you like to relate lyrics to situations?

I’ve been meaning to use more of them, especially Ethel Cain! Ptolamaea is one of my fav songs and i think it works for the series :) I’ve associated it with otwf basil for a while especially the lines “I am the face of love’s rage”

headspace basil has/will continue to learn too much about omori to sympathize with what he’s done to all the previous headspace basils, but sunny and basil’s feelings are mutual.

there’s like roughly uhh 4-5 chapters left? cause chapter 8 is like the major turning point in the series :] i finished writing it. now i just have to start the art for it but i’ve admittedly been unmotivated ;0; i wanna start this week

i love this beast, my best friend voices him and he does an incredible job ;A; but yes he’ll make more appearances soon!
- with a full takeover of Basil he/they’re like 8ft tall.
- His wings look like Sunny’s Something (though i didn’t draw them here)
- He is basically the worst parts of Basil or rather, what Basil believes are the worst parts of him are, but like very amplified
- if he has a big enough hold of Basil in the moment or even entirely, Basil won’t succumb.
- His face shapeshifts, but his Something face is the standard one. My favorite face is when it’s just teeth - he can take massive bites.
- He is strongest when Basil is in turmoil, so Black Space is where he will thrive the most
- Arum and Basil are both voiced by Ivis. Arum tends to sound calm but lately i’ve been making him sound angrier
- For the most part Arum’s behavior is totally unhinged. he can hurt anyone or anything (because Basil believes he is a threat, though he’s just too deep in his own head). If he were to attack Sunny for any reason, Basil would try his hardest to desperately fight back for control.
- It’s possible for Basil to take Arum’s power and “rewire” it into his own
- His full name is Titan Arum, named after the corpse flower which is known to smell like rotting flesh. He’s supposed to resemble a dead Basil that died by hanging.
How does Omori feel about Basil (and Arum)? Does he want to keep Basil out of Black Space for his own good/want to save him from seeing the things in there? Or does he want to keep him away purely for Sunny's wish? What does Arum think of Omori? Do the two have any power over each other?

Omori senses that something’s a little off about Basil from the sidelines but doesn’t know it’s Arum yet or what Arum is because he’s not directly there. Though, when he does eventually meet Arum, he definitely won’t be fond of him. Arum kinda views Omori as a pest, but he’s not really fond of anyone. Arum is pretty evenly matched to Omori I’d say. Arum is also much stronger than the main cast.
As for Basil and Omori, Omori is just trying to keep Basil out of Black Space moreso for Sunny’s sake and his wish, but deep down knows it’s inevitable. He’s pretty neutral and hesitant towards Basil. Omori feels like Basil would probably be disgusted by what he sees down there, he’s not really trying to stop it.
Will there be a Q&A two? With more characters? (Like stranger, sweetheart, etc.)??
Id like to do one last one like right before the series ends or when it’s over! And yeah i’d try to find VAs for other characters :] i’d do what i did last time where people can audition for it. JB would probably narrate it/be the host again

Kel actually does have feelings for him in OTWF but it’s one sided. Aubrey leans more towards platonic in this series I’d say (but I may have teased photobomb a bit in chapter 7 just because..).

I've also been wondering how much the story would've changed if the headspace battle/healing/death rules didn't apply to the faraway cast.... by which I mean if Kel had really died after the Sweetheart battle. Surely that would've drastically changed like everything lol
I MEAN LIKE THANK YOU FOR NOT HAVING HIM DIE I WOULD BE ACTUALLY CRYING and it was probably the better choice for the plot anyway... but just food for thought
So originally i was gonna do that But…
I was like “I want to write the effects of psychological death and torment instead” like. dying so many times to the point they feel almost soulless, like a zombie. (Black Space is gonna have a sick twist to this, Headspace is just like a silly haha thing like lol we are now made of toast. Oh now we’re back. There is no toast concept in Black Space! so you’ll see what happens soon)
The realworld versions view turning into toast as a screwed up jab, almost like it’s making fun of them
Basil is going to hit a point where he doesn’t care if he dies anymore even if he’s torn to shreds and pieced back together; especially since he has Arum. He quite literally is a zombie. This is when his Stressed eyes become permanent. He’s also afraid Sunny will be afraid of him like this. :(
If these rules weren’t applied, well, it would just be a different ending lol. the deaths would be even more calculated and there would also be less of it generally.
