Age 63, of Durand, died Sunday, March 27, 2011, at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2011, at the Durand Church of God, 10411 Newburg Road in Durand. Pastor Ed Chandler will officiate. A private burial will be at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of service.

Bob was born and raised in Durand March 29, 1947, to the late Rogers F. and Mary M. (Boudro) LaMar. He married Margaret “Peggy” Gooding Oct. 28, 1995, in St. Helen. Bob was a member of the Durand VFW.
Bob is survived by his wife Peggy; his three children, Bobbie LaMar and John Schassberger of Corunna, Robert L. and wife Donna LaMar of Durand and William L. Petitt of Hawaii.
Also surviving is special family friend, who was like a daughter, Patricia and husband Neal Kimmerer of Durand; 12 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; many aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
