Special exhibition "Time travel with toys 1975"
The exhibition focuses on 1975, the year that marked the end of Japan's high economic growth and marked a turning point in the Showa era, and offers an experiential look back at the lifestyles and social conditions of the time through the collection of toys and goods collected by Komiya Hironobu (a native of Bungotakada City), director of Bungotakada City's Dagashiya no Yume Museum. It focuses in particular on the completion of the Sanyo Shinkansen line to Hakata, the rapid spread of private cars and color televisions, and the decrease in vacant land leading to more time spent playing indoors, and introduces toys and goods related to these events.
