Hip Hop MIX 2024
"Hip Hop MIX" is crafted by the popular natural winery Yellow Magic Winery in Yamagata. Like a DJ mixing music, this wine is a creative blend of Delaware and other grape varieties. Naturally fermented with wild yeast and unfiltered, it captures the full, authentic flavor of the grapes.
The taste features vibrant aromas reminiscent of lychee and passion fruit, with a lively, juicy fruitiness. Its refreshing acidity makes it an energetic wine you can enjoy without overthinking. Perfect for casual gatherings with friends, and pairs well with Asian cuisine or pizza.
Yamagata Prefecture / Grape Republic
Grelipa Amphora Rosso 2020
"Amphora Rosso" from the renowned Yamagata winery Grape Republic is made following ancient methods, fermented and aged in unglazed clay amphorae. This process brings out the pure character of the grapes and the earth, without imparting any oak barrel aroma.
The 2020 vintage offers a uniquely mellow and gentle mouthfeel thanks to its aging. It features a calm fruitiness reminiscent of strawberries and dried plums, layered with savory notes that evoke black tea and dashi, and complex earthy nuances. Its deep, lingering flavor pairs exceptionally well with Japanese dishes that use soy sauce or dashi, such as sukiyaki.
