Trump kicked it off at the White House. July 1. On camera. He said he was considering pulling Elon’s federal subsidies. He said DOGE might have to “go back and eat Elon.” He even suggested looking into deportation. All because Elon dared to criticize the Big Beautiful Bill that MAGA’s been propping up for months.
Then Trump flew down to Florida, linked up with Ron DeSantis, and doubled down while standing in front of Alligator Alcatraz, the new detention camp in the Everglades. He repeated the same threats in a so-called security briefing that looked more like a power stunt.
MAGA influencers are out here claiming DOGE saved the country billions. That’s what they’ve been feeding their base. Now Trump’s out in public saying it was a waste. That’s not strategy. That’s exposure. He blew up his own talking point in the middle of a literal prison tour.
Elon didn’t take it sitting down. He clapped back, said he’s ready to walk away from every federal dollar, and floated the creation of a new party; the America Party. And he can do it. He’s got the cash. He’s got the manpower. All he needs is a locked-in platform, bylaws, and a state-by-state ballot plan.
This isn’t Republican or Democrat. This is about integrity. If MAGA can’t admit they’ve been lied to, they’re just choosing delusion. Elon might be flawed, but at least he’s building. Trump’s out here burning everything down.
