    I wanted a book of instruction on how to use the stuff. This book tells you what he thinks the DMSO will heal but does not tell you how to administer it. no idea on how much to use or how to apply it. Do you drink it? if so, how much? For instants, you want to heal your hemorrhoids. How much do you use and which end do you apply it. Look for another source for the answers.

    I am a retired Family Physician. I have personally used DMSO topically, for a variety of muscle strain, pains, spasms and tendinitis. It is more effective than any other treatment that I am aware of.

    I have read about the effectiveness of using DMSO orally, in the acute phase of a stroke or heart attack. I have never tried this, but I would, if the opportunity arose.

    It would be helpful if the author would add a chart with specific treatment guidelines, dosages and route of administration for this product. Also sources for purchase.

    I have purchased the solution, gel and cream on Amazon, but do not know where to obtain the sterile form for injection.

    I give “The DMSO Handbook for Doctors“ five stars. DMSO is a seemingly almost miraculous substance that I have known about for over 35 years, and which more people should be benefitting from. I was treated at the Degenerative Disease Medical Center in Las Vegas (as mentioned on page 33, and long since closed) in 1982 for two weeks with DMSO IV drip, for generalized poor circulation. Within three days of starting the DMSO treatment I could tell that my thumbnail, which had fallen off completely, was growing again, and it grew back completely and is still doing fine. I have used DMSO for a number of other very stubborn, conditions more recently, and the learning never stops. Most recently, I have used a mixture of 85% pharmaceutical grade DMSO and 15% oregano oil (undiluted, full strength “Now” brand) sprayed on my feet and lower legs at least two or three times per week. My feet had been partly numb and burning severely most of the time for over 35 years, and no doctor has ever had a clue what to do about it, except to recommend vitamin B12, which I was already taking and have taken continuously for at least 40 years with no improvement at all. My feet feel almost totally pain free and completely normal since about four or five weeks after I started spraying them with the DMSO- oregano oil mixture. Don’t do anything like this without checking with your doctor, if you have any doubts about the safety of it. Mr. Scott describes a treatment similar to what I have described here in chapter 18 of his book, and that is one of the reasons I am pleased to give his book five stars.

    This book is nice that it gave specific treatments that have worked in the past. It's a very simple easy read.
    However, provides no summaries, no references of doctors who are currently practicing these techniques for collaboration and the 40% solution for eye drops is just not available to purchase from the few supplier sites that I found, to include the doctor responsible for DMSO being so prevalent today. There aren't even any organizations or websites that list a community or blog of doctors that use it with success listed in the book.
    If this is a highly recommended by doctors protocol, then a lot needs to change in how it's presented. The only current study that I found available to the public is from Life Extension, but they don't sell any DMSO products either. Simply listing studies done almost 50 years ago is comforting, but it will leave the average person to think the information is no longer relevant and there are better things out there. And according to this, there isn't anything better out there.

    I have found this book very useful in my life. DMSO is a misunderstood product which if used wisely, carefully and according to instructions works well for many things. It has helped my control my Osteoarthritis, helped also with managing the pain. I have this book close by to use as a reference and I go to it often. I have used this product for at least 8 years, more now than when I found it.
    Now, a word of caution, my Doc. was not so keen on me using it, but to tell the truth it has helped me more than the drugs he has put me on. So buy the book read it, consider the options, enjoy. You have to understand what DMSO does, it is dangerous if not used correctly. This product takes anything thru your skin into your body, so use it well, be warned.
