Not made by me. Saw it on reddit. This is like the #1 thing how not to react to the meltdown that is ongoing. Hope you get your stuff together.

edit. It is still up, just flagged as abusive. Censoring is wrong word, but can't change the topic.

Or maybe, that one was flagged because abusive... but, of course, doing it to one abusive review is censorship, when they didn't do it to the dozens and more other negative reviews made.

yeah so abusive...
i mean come on, whatever you think about the review or the dlc policy, it's just a joke, it's full of this kind of comment on steam

Lol, I mean - I agree with you, but didn't expect to really laugh after seeing it :D

This game is actually quite old => lots of DLCs. I kind of agree with their pricing, but I must say last few DLCs weren't really worth the same money as previous DLCs, and not even CLOSE to the ammount of content Art of War added.

What? RoM and MoH are as big as any DLC this game has ever received. TR is smaller of course, but it's also cheaper, not to mention that you can simply skip it if it doesn't interest since there are no global mechanics in it.

Most of the reviews i read at release say last muscovy dlc is too expensive and only worth it if you buy everything day one and doesnt care about money. Censoring an in context joke like that is absurd and do a lot more harm to the company, a lot more harm.

We really need some kind of response from the devs, ideally someone like Johan who has a say in the game's creative decisions. The devs clearly see all of this, I mean, Groogy was posting in a Reddit thread about a survey showing people's dissatisfaction, but he just came across as dismissive... All we need is some kind of response. This is the worst possibly way they could handle this situation. The Streisand Effect (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streisand_effect) is very much a real thing.

This is literally what I did, even though I'm complaining here, and honestly I only did it because of modding because the DLC itself feels like a rip-off.

I feel this is becoming to big of situation and blame paradox thing, for all we know, it could be one overzealous Paradox community manager and not an offical thing from paradox

I think it warrants an official response though. I'm pretty much entirely on Paradox's side re: the whole review tanking thing, but trying to get one taken down is a really bad and bizarre move from them.

Too bizarre, really; I think it's gotta have been a mistake, or like you say, someone only tangentially affiliated (who has control over flagging that stuff?). I hope it's a mistake, anyway.

I'm very disappointing that this happened. Yeah its obvious all the negative reviews recently are all about the DLC policy and price adjustments, but Paradox has already replied to those officially. Flagging a player's review who is expressing their opinion in a tongue-in-cheek way is ludicrous. The developer who flagged it needs to be reprimanded and now Paradox should respond even further.

The community outrage is spreading and growing. It was something I myself was "eyerolling" a month ago, but now I am seeing their point. This "flagging" woke me even further. Paradox won't get a dime from me (and a growing number that keeps expanding) until they start respecting the community again.

I go with this interpretation. The comment isn't even that harsh. There aught to be much more "abusive" stuff out there (I mean, it's the internet).

Did anyone consider that this may be a joke on Paradox's part? I mean think about it; there are far more vitriolic reviews on there than this rather light-hearted jab. I'm of a mind to say their response was also in good humor.

There's a tendency for people to jump the gun on the internet with anonymity and a lack of body language or facial cues to convey actual meaning. Yes if they actually intended to censor the comment that's a rather spiteful and panicked move but I really doubt it.

Abusing Steam moderator tools is not 'a joke'. Steam would not see it that way and neither would Paradox. You are taking extremely great liberties with your 'interpretation'.

I guess I just don't take any of this as seriously as a lot of people here. Steam included. I think it's kind of funny that of all comments that is the one that would be considered abusive. But, I know... "Dear God, they're abusing the abuse button!"

The very notion!
