A French woman visiting Udaipur was sexually assaulted after she went to a cafe with her friends. Police have launched a manhunt to arrest the accused, who is currently absconding. Here’s what we know.
This happened to me in Jaipur years ago... but I was able to fend him off successfully. Some reverse physchology to survive... I pretended like I was a hustler and was laughing at his package being small. I controlled the situation like a boss but after he dropped me off, I was throwing up in disgust. My fear set in and my body started to shake while I was already alone in my hotel room. I swore to never agree with any man being friendly with me asking to show me around for free. Some people here always have an ulterior motives especially if they think you're a foreigner.
I don't even go on dates anymore. I go out nowadays looking like I'm going to a war. and I strictly don't talk to any man. the only men I talk to are waiters and servers.
It's a shame that it's still happening pretty much. you can just imagine how many more unreported incidents are there. To all the women reading this... please be careful. truly, keep your guards up. keep yourself safe no matter what.
Why is rape called by other fancy names...even unconsented touching can be referred as sexual assault...it is a shame women have to endure sugar coating of their life long traumas.
Lage Raho Bhaiya! Lage Raho!! It is this kind of mentality which is tearing this wonderful country apart, isolating it globally, reducing tourism and resulting in Anti-Hindu hate internationally!! Lage Raho Bhaiya....
As a fifteen year old girl living in India I want nothing more than to leave this country and advise foreign women not to come here alone or trust anyone.
Respect for women and young girls is lacking in our country. Poor woman who came as a tourist must be totally traumatized. Hope she gets justice and the therapy for her recovery.
Few day's ago , during war , amarica has issued an statement.
Don't travel to India because of increasing rape cases to all female citizen..
And hence proved, thier concern was Right
To all the ladies, you shouldn't get in strange people's car or house. I'm also a woman and my safety is more important to me than people saying 'Don't victim shame'. This caution should be there. No matter the punishment to the accused, you would be the one to undergo trauma.
