米ＣＥＡ委員長、関税で「短期的打撃」　財務長官は対抗措置けん制

[ワシントン ２日 ロイター] - 米大統領経済諮問委員会（ＣＥＡ）のスティーブン・ミラン委員長は２日、トランプ政権が発表した関税によって短期的な打撃が生じるとの認識を示した。一方、ベッセント財務長官は他国に対し、対抗措置を取らないよう促した。
ミラン氏はＦＯＸビジネス・ネットワークで、短期的な物価上昇をどの程度懸念しているか問われ、「短期的な打撃はもちろんある」と述べた。
同時に「トランプ大統領が重視しているのは、他国に対する米経済の耐久性、持続可能性、公平性の長期的な変革と向上だ」と強調した。
ベッセント氏は米国の措置に報復しないよう他国に促した。ＣＮＮのインタビューで「どうなるか見てみよう。報復すれば、事態はエスカレートする」とし、「性急な行動は賢明ではない」とけん制した。株式市場が関税にどう反応するかとの質問には「分からない」と答えた。
