Upon arrival he was met with hostility; as he bowed before a Hasidic Rabbi, he was kicked and even called a "goyim dog" in a derogatory manner. Subsequently, he realized that the Jews, whom he considered his brothers, consider the Pagans like him as their biggest enemies.
