^alex in Libera and I discovered a new (we think) Beige Power Mac G3 easter egg! Format the RAM disk with the name "secret ROM image" and it will create a JPEG file called "The Team" inside.

had already found the JPEG image in the ROM in 2014, but now we know how to reveal it!

Here are some screenshots of the process of showing the picture in Mac OS 8.1. It doesn't seem to work in Mac OS 9, by the way.

I'm happy to report that it DOES work in MacOS 9. I just tried this on my Beige PM G3 running 9.0.4. Behold!

Oh wow! I couldn’t get it to work on 9.1 and someone else couldn’t reproduce it on 9.2.2. I just assumed all 9.x didn’t work. Thanks for testing!
