Kamea was the youngest whale at the park at the time of her passing. While she was a young adult, she was still easy to tell apart due to her smaller size. Her dorsal also had a slight bend to her right, which made it easier to tell her apart from Takara and Sakari's straight dorsal fins. She was a smart and playful whale. In April 2017, Takara gave birth to her fifth calf, a female named Kyara. Kamea had met Kyara soon after her birth. Sadly, Kyara passed away in July 2017.
On June 19, 2025, SeaWorld San Antonio announce Kamea had passed away from an unknown illness, despite their best efforts to treat her.
