Texas A&M secured one of its highest-rated recruits ever Thursday when it landed five-star athlete Brandon Arrington's commitment. Ranked No. 29 nationally, Arrington chose the Aggies over Oregon, becoming the top-rated prospect in Texas A&M's 2026 class. Using the 247Sports Composite, we've compiled the 12 highest-rated Texas A&M football signees since 2000 below.

The Aggies recruited and signed some of the greatest high school prospects of the last quarter century. Some — like Myles Garrett and Martellus Bennett — enjoyed successful college and pro careers. Others, meanwhile, are considered recruiting busts by comparison.

It's interesting to note that five of Texas A&M's top 10 highest-rated recruits played college football in 2024, either for the Aggies or elsewhere. Mike Elko's 2025 squad is among the most talented in program history on paper, with two of the program's top 10 recruits of all time on the roster.

Las Vegas Bishop Gorman athlete Jett Washington announced his Oregon commitment Thursday. 247Sports breaks down what he brings to the Ducks.

Washington is currently a five-star in the Top247 and rated the No. 18 player nationally.

Washington is a player we've been tracking since the eighth grade and he's grown a ton as a player over the past three years. There was a time when we thought receiver could be his meal ticket and he flashed offensive skills, but we love his long-term potential on the defensive side of the ball.
