(KTTC) A Rochester, Minnesota woman is getting her 100th birthday wish by going airborne. Maxine Schultz is as vivacious as they get with a verve for life that exceeds those half her age.
An entire crowd gathered at Silver Lake Park Tuesday night to watch as Schultz hopped into her hot air balloon carriage, sending her right into the clouds for a journey she will never forget.
“I want to stand up and look out!” she exclaimed as she climbed aboard the basket, talking about what it’s like to ride one of the balloons. “It’s just peaceful and quiet.”
