Microsoft is aware of reports that a small subset of specific models of Windows devices fail to start after installing the June 2025 Windows security update. Some of the devices mentioned in these reports include models from Fujitsu, GIGABYTE and ThundeRobot. These reports are not necessarily related, as they include different symptoms for each of the manufacturers, including some models reporting problems on Windows 10, while others report problems on Windows 11.
Initial investigations indicate that these behaviors are linked to third-party firmware used in specific device models, which may create compatibility issues with Windows. We are working with the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to investigate and support their efforts for solutions for each of the affected devices.
If you are experiencing problems starting Windows after installing the latest Windows update on any of these devices, we recommend contacting your OEM for further support. We will provide further updates about these issues as they become available.
