According to legend, crests are a symbol of power that the goddess bestowed to mankind long ago. They are passed down by bloodline–typically through the descendants of the old heroes and saints, who are now nobility.

The crests themselves are divided into “Major Crests” that grant immense power and “Minor Crests”, which are a weaker variant. Not all nobles inherit a crest and it is not understood when a major or minor crest is passed down.

Crest Items

In New Game+, crests can be temporarily acquired by having the corresponding Crest Item in a character’s inventory.

• When a character has multiple crests, it seems only one crest may trigger per attack or action.
• If a character has two of the exact same crest (naturally and via a crest item), they will still trigger as separate crests.
