A man was shot and killed in Kent’s East Hill neighborhood Monday afternoon, police say.
Officers found the man bleeding from his head inside a vehicle around 2:32 p.m. near Southeast 240th Street and 108 Avenue Southeast, police said. The vehicle had crashed into other cars.
The man was extracted from the locked vehicle and died despite lifesaving efforts. The 28-year-old suspected shooter remained on the scene and surrendered his firearm, police say. The 28-year-old man, a Kent resident, was cooperating with police.
There were no other injuries, and the circumstances leading up to the shooting were being investigated.
Police were working to identify the man who died.
