<>The Seven Domains

*3rd Person’s Pov*

Akane rushed passed Able and ran downstairs towards the entrance of her home. She came to a halt once she saw a girl her age staring at her with a smile on her face. The girl rushed inside Akane’s home and engulfed her in a hug.

”Akane!” Caroline sobbed onto her friend’s shoulder as she murmured apologies into her ear. Akane stood paralyzed as she tried to process that her friend came back.

A few tears slid down Akane’s cheek as she hugged her friend back. “You came back.” She murmured.

They both pulled away and Akane was the only one at a loss of words while Caroline questioned how she had been. Akane let out a laugh feeling relieved that Caroline’s personality had not changed. She invited her in and Caroline's eyes widen seeing the three male demons in Akane’s home.

Caroline awkwardly gazed back at Akane who gave her an ‘I can explain’ look. “Caro, this right here is Thanatos remember him?” She motioned towards the male that was now beside her.

“Yea I remember him, but I don’t know those two. Can you also explain why he smells similar to Thanatos?” Caroline pointed at Able as she said this. Akane scratched the back of her neck while smiling sheepishly.

“Well, you see he’s actually Thanatos’s son.”

Caroline waved off Akane’s statement as a joke but began to realize she wasn’t joking.

“What?! But! How?! When?! No!” Caro cried out as she walked back and forth murmuring things under her breathe.

Akane sweat dropped trying to get Caro’s attention but it seemed she was in her own world. Caroline then came to an abrupt halt as she narrowed her eyes at Thanatos.

“I can’t believe I ever pictured you being with my friend! Hmph, I was honestly rooting for it but noooo you had to get another woman pregnant!”

Akane flushed with embarrassment, Able did his best to hide, Abbadon started laughing, and Thanatos face expressed nothing but irritation.

Abbadon held his stomach which was in pain due to his constant laughing. “Oh am I so glad I came back to life to see this. Well, you were right about them being together, they were making out just a few minutes ago.”

Caroline's mouth dropped at the news Abbadon gave her.

“What?! Are you serious?!” She urged for more details making Akane want nothing more than to disappear.

Abbadon nodded his head as he eyed Caroline from head to toe. “Yea name is Abbadon by the way.” He then proceeded to grab her hand and kiss it in an appropriate manner. “And who may you be?”

Caroline blinked owlishly before giving him a broad smile.

“My name is Caroline.” Abbadon let go of her hand and flashed her a grin.

“Your name is just as beautiful as you are.” Caroline only responded with a thank you leaving Abbadon baffled.

It was Thanatos’s turn to let a chuckle as he patted Abbadon’s back. “You see, this is what happens when you don’t have charm.”

This of course only made Abbadon more determined to make Caroline fall for him.

Caroline’s hair had a bit longer and it reached her waist. She was finally able to control her eye color and she hid them away making them look black. Akane snapped out of her thoughts and before she could reach the floor below her was gone. Everyone in Akane’s living room started to fall into a pitch-black abyss.

Akane groaned as she picked herself up and scanned the area around her. She screamed her friend's names out but she got no response. It was all pitch black around her and she had no idea where to go since everything looked the same.

“What are you doing?”

A voice came from behind Akane to which made her immediately turned to face whoever it was. Much to her surprise, a light illuminates the dark place she was in and was shocked to see herself. It was her however, she seemed she had gained weight.

“Who are you?” Akane asked the girl who was taking her appearance.

“You of course.” The woman in front of her responded. Akane was baffled to which the other Akane groaned.

“Just sit and lay down like me. Just sleep or something, it looks like you need it.” The fake Akane told her as she stared at nothing.

“No, I can’t. I need to find my friends. I don’t even know where I am.” Akane replied back as she activated her reaper eyes to find the others.

“Oh for crying out loud what it kill you to not do anything!” The fake Akane cried out making Akane flinch.

The fake Akane struggled to get it from all the excess weight and took Akane’s hand. “Just let all your responsibilities go. Just lie down and don’t do anything at all. Who cares about your friends, aren’t you tired Akane? Tired of your vengeance? You can sleep with me if you want. Sleep as much as you like. You don’t have to do a single thing here.”

Akane felt drawn towards her words and started to feel sluggish.

“Akane!”

That loud yell made Akane quickly turn around to see Caroline.

“Thank god I found you,” Caro muttered as she gave me a hug. “Why didn’t you answer until now! I was yelling out your name and not once did you turn around until I was a few feet away from you!”

Akane's eyes widen as she took a peek behind her and saw no one there. What just happened?

Sloth

”How did you find me?” Akane questioned her friend to which she answered.

“Well for one I can see in the darkness and two I could hear the beat of your heart.”

Akane's eyes wandered around until she saw a faint blue light. She knew it could only belong to Able and led the way to find him.

Caroline had Akane in front of her and the next she was gone. She didn’t even know-how in the blink of an eye Akane could disappear.

“Are you hungry?”

Caroline froze in her spot as she cautiously turned around. Her body went cold as she saw herself with blood dripping down her mouth and her red eyes shining brightly.

“Come on don’t lie to me. Remember that guy you killed just a few hours ago? Wasn't his blood tasty? It was intoxicating, wasn’t it? Don’t you want more? Want more of that feeling?” Her fake self asked as she stepped closer to Caroline.

“Look.”

The fake Caroline moved her chin towards Akane’s direction who was searching for Caroline. “You can hear it can’t you? The blood pulsing through her veins. The smell of the sweet rich blood that intoxicates you. Take a sip, no one will blame you. You are hungry after all. Drink to your heart's content.”

Caroline’s red eyes replaced her black colored ones as her mouth became watery. Her body hesitantly made its way towards her friend and just as she was about to bear her fangs into Akane’s shoulder something caught Caroline’s neck. She struggled in her captor's grip and felt a terrible feeling overcome her.

Gluttony

”Did you forget? I clearly said that if you laid your hands on her I’d personally kill you.” Thanatos growled out.

Akane hearing voices near her gasped seeing her friend struggling in the grip of her lover.

“Stop it! Let her go!” Akane slammed her body against his but his grip did not falter. “I swear to god if you kill her I will hate you for the rest of my life Thanatos.” Akane fiercely stated as she stared into his demon eyes. He clicked his tongue as he let go of Caroline.

Akane went down on her knees as she rubbed Caroline’s back asking if she was okay. Caroline however felt nothing but guilt for almost wanting to feed on her friend.

“Akane please don’t be angry with him. He just saved your life. I...I don’t know what came over me...I almost tried to...” Caroline couldn’t bare to explain her actions.

Akane already understood as she examined the state Caroline was in, her eyes and her fangs said it all.

“It’s okay Caro,” Akane assured her as she pulled Caroline into a hug.

Akane looked up to Thanatos for answers as to where they were. “We’re in hell, or to be more precise in the domains of the seven deadly sins. You two must always have your guard up, especially you Akane. These sins will lure you in and once you’ve accepted their words that’s when they’ve won.”

Akane had the slightest clue on why she had to be the one on high alert. Thanatos knew the way out so Akane latched onto his right arm and held Caroline’s hand. They walked in silence until Thanatos felt a tug.

“Thana?”

Thanatos eyed Akane from the corner from his eye and once she had his attention she apologized for her earlier actions. Thanatos only scoffed and told her she didn’t need to apologize as he faced forward again.

“No Thana, I really do need to apologize,” Akane whispered into his ear as she wrapped her arms around his neck and pecked his lips.

“Thanatos you don’t know how much you mean to me. You want me, don’t you? You want me the way I want you. Then take me Thanatos, let your desires control you.” She had her hands underneath his shirt as she pressed herself closer to him.

It took Thanatos a few minutes to snap out of his daze as he grabbed her by the throat and slammed her onto the floor.

Lust

The fake Akane cried out in laughter as she slowly started to fade away. “You lowered your guard oh prince of hell and now we have what we wanted.” Were her last words as she disappeared leaving Thanatos alone in the darkness.

Akane cursed under her breathe wondering how she lost Caroline and Thanatos when they were literally right next to her. She had her arms outwards trying to feel her way around but it was of no use. Her reaper eyes inspected the area around her trying to find someone. Her eyes lit up with hope as she saw the blue light she had seen earlier and without a second thought, she went towards it.

“What are you doing?”

Akane halted in her tracks as light illuminated her surroundings and saw herself again.

“Look, whoever you are I will not fall for the same trick again,” Akane told herself as she walked away from her fake self.

“Why do you insist on needing the help of others? You’ve done this alone and you don’t need anyone else! Aren’t you proud of that?! You’ve gone hunting several times and have gotten stronger. Don’t tell me you aren’t proud of your accomplishments? Come on Akane, you don’t need anyone’s help your strong as it is an-“

“Shut up!” The real Akane screeched out as she had enough of her talk.

“You’re wrong! Of course, I need the help of others! I hate to admit it but without the help of my friends then I wouldn’t get this far! Show yourself dammit and stop hiding!” The light and her fake self faded away leaving her alone once again.

Pride

Akane’s lip trembled as she tried to shake off the feeling she felt just moments ago. She hurriedly jogged towards the blue light hoping Able was alright. He was just a twelve-year-old boy after all and she begged that one of the sins had not gotten him already.

Able sat on the cold black floor whimpering and imploring someone to come save him. For he hated nothing more than the darkness around him.

“Why are you crying?”

Able jolted in fright as a light suddenly turned on and he came face to face with himself.

“Don’t be afraid I’m you.” The fake Able murmured as the real Able had his words stuck in his throat.

“Look over there.” The fake Able pointed beside the real Able and his eyes widen seeing Akane.

Before he could muster the strength to get up and leave the fake he started to talk.

“She’s so strong and independent, isn’t she? She has guts and isn’t afraid of this place. No wonder father likes her so much, and then there’s you. You’re weak, a loser, and you’re so afraid that you aren’t doing a single thing to get yourself out of here. If only you could be like her then the father would like you.” His words were sinking into Able’s mind and he tried his best to ignore it.

Envy

Able stood up while wiping the tears that were streaming down his face. “No, no, you’re...you’re...wrong..” He then ran towards Akane but was stopped by another him.

“Able, Able, Able,” The fake him taunted as he circled around him.

“You want father, don’t you? You can have him all to yourself if only and only if you get rid of her.” The fake Able once again pointed at the direction of Akane.

“If you get rid of her then you will have father all to yourself. You’ll have all his attention and all of his love. So get rid of her so you can have him.” The real Able pressed his hands over his ears while shaking his head.

“Stop! Stop! I...I...I don’t want to hear it! Please...stop..” He wailed out. Able’s legs gave out and he could only curl himself into a ball while doing his best to ignore their words.

Greed

Akane finally caught sight of light and saw Able with two figures looming over him. She yelled out his name as she ran towards his direction but her yells fell deaf to his ears. When she was finally close enough she reached for him however in the blink of an eye he was gone.

Akane quickly looked around trying to see where he had gone. Another light appeared behind her along with the cries of a little girl. Akane stopped what she was doing and glanced behind her. Her eyes widen in horror not believing a little girl was trapped in hell as well.

She reached out for her but backed away once the little girl spun to face her. Akane’s stomach dropped seeing her ten-year-old self angrily wiping the tears from her face.

“I hate this world! I hate them for taking everything from me! Why?! Why did it have to be me! Why couldn’t it be some else?! It’s not fair! I hate it! I hate it so much!” The little girl screeched out as she burst into tears.

Akane’s heart ached as she watched her ten-year-old self bathe in anger. The little girl sniffled her last tears as she glared up at Akane.

“But most of all, I hate you!”

Akane flinched in pain as the little girl pointed an accusing finger at her.

“I hate you so much! You were weak! You couldn’t save them! You didn’t stop them! I hate you! I hate you!” Akane understood the fury in the little girl’s voice. Akane's mind was a mess as she shook her head but it didn’t stop there.

“Don’t deny it! It was your fault! Accept it! You are to blame for this and you know it! If only you hadn’t been born! If only your mother had killed you then!”

That was it, that line made Akane snap and lose her composure.

“Shut up! I know dammit! I know! This is all my fault! I was weak! I couldn’t protect them! I know, I know! And I hate myself for it!!” Akane dropped to the ground with the tears flowing down her cheeks. The little girl grinned in triumph as she stared down at Akane.

“I won.”

Akane’s body slumped forward and the little girl dragged Akane someplace else.

Wrath

When Akane finally woke up to her senses she had chains on her neck, wrists, and ankles.  Her body hung above the floor and her stomach was exposed. A black smoky figure with black wings behind its back stood in front of her and eyed a book in its hands.

The black figure gazed up and was amused to see Akane awake.

“It truly is unfortunate for you to wake up at a time like this. No matter, we will continue.” It informed her in a deep raspy voice. He stepped closer to Akane who could do nothing but watch its movements.

Its hand plunged into her stomach causing a horrible scream to come out of Akane’s mouth. The figure started to pull and pull all while ignoring the screams of agony of its victim. On its finally pull another figure crawled out of Akane’s body.

This figure was shaped like a woman who had chains wrapped all over its body that was attached to Akane’s.

“Why do you look so unhappy? I got you out, didn’t I? Now, shall we talk Galaxia?” The black figure asked her.

Akane groaned as she could no longer feel her own body. Once again she blacked out and did not hear the conversation between Galaxia and Lucifer.

Akane woke to the touch of a cold hand on her cheek. She weakly peeked up to see none other than Galaxia in front of her. Akane could not move or talk for her body was too numb.

Galaxia delicately stroked Akane’s cheek and then her hair.

My sweet vessel, I am sorry for the pain you’ve been put through. Do not fret though, for all your suffering will soon end. My dear Gabriel will soon find a way to free me and when that happens your soul will cease to exist.”
