Thank you to Defund Hate’s Campaign Manager, Roshni!! We are grateful for the passion, dedication, and knowledge you shared with us and everything you did to make Defund Hate a community. We can’t wait to continue in the struggle alongside you! ICYMI Important Update from the Defund Hate Campaign: After taking stock of the grave challenges posed by the current political landscape and a great deal of consideration about how to best position our movement to respond, campaign co-chairs United We Dream and Detention Watch Network and our partners have decided to sunset the Defund Hate campaign. As good organizers we know that oftentimes to create something new that meets the moment, we must be willing to close a chapter to make space to learn, assess, and allow new things to emerge. We are so grateful to have built this campaign with our supporters over its six years, banding together in the face of great threat to our communities to build a movement against harmful immigration enforcement funding. Your partnership has been invaluable in this journey, and this is not the end of our work but a new chapter! We sincerely thank you for the immense commitment, energy, time, and love that you have given to fight for the dignity and well-being of our immigrant communities. Regardless of this transition, our organizations will continue the fight against abusive immigration enforcement agencies and welcome everyone to stay connected in the struggle alongside us! #DefundHate -Gabriela Viera, Detention Watch Network & Cynthia Garcia, United We Dream, Defund Hate Co-Chairs Follow: @detentionwatch & @unitedwedream and go to defundhatecampaign.org for resources challenging the budget and appropriations process.
