California Senator Handcuffed Outside Noem Briefing in LA
US Senator Alex Padilla of California was forcibly removed from a press conference and handcuffed as he tried to confront Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem while she briefed reporters on a federal immigration crackdown in Los Angeles.
After Padilla demanded that the men take their hands off him, he was then forced to the ground by officers outside the briefing room, according to video posted on X. Security officials at the briefing ordered attendees to stop filming the disruption.
