The CCP is taking advantage of the US legal system… the defense lawyer was pretty much making the case that CCP henchman Litang Liang had the right and freedom to conduct transnational surveillance and repression on others in the US as a proxy of the Chinese government / CCP — and the jury actually bought it!
Are the jurors really so naive as to believe that a spy has the right to be a spy and do what a spy does?
