Oh, so because there weren’t literal fires at the Capitol, you think January 6 was somehow less violent? Let me walk you through what actually happened that day. They didn’t just break windows, they beat police officers with flagpoles. They crushed one between doors while chanting USA. They threw punches, sprayed chemicals, and caused lasting brain injuries. They stormed offices, rifled through classified materials, smeared their own shit on the walls, and trashed the very building that represents this country’s government. They brought zip ties, set up gallows, and hunted down elected officials.
No, they didn’t set fires to cars. They set fire to democracy. They tried to overturn the results of an election because their cult leader lost. That wasn’t protest. That was a fascist mob trying to hijack the entire system. What’s happening in LA is people reacting to being harassed, targeted, and abducted by federal agents. It’s not the same thing. Not even close.
So before you open your mouth again and call someone an idiot, look in the mirror. Because comparing an angry crowd flipping cars in their own neighborhood to a coordinated attack on the United States Capitol is the dumbest thing I’ve heard today.
