From what I could gather from launch day tweets about Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S : -Filters in lobbies actually work now. -Swap Mode slowdown has been fixed. -You can no longer back out of Ranked Matches. -The netcode still isn't up to par with Champions?

By sheer happenstance, I found the songwriter of the CR songs (the infamous vocal album that gave Arle, Amitie and Ringo an additional character theme each). It's a composer named Takeshin. If you ever heard the songs on that album, you've been enjoying their work!!<3

So this is how I learn that Ringo's character song from the CR Puyo Puyo Slot Machine is a cover of a song called "L-O-V-E-R" with all the romantic references changed to friendship... ...Wait NO, it's not the cover, it WAS covered. That song only released last year! WTF!

So yes, old school western Gamers have played Panel de Pon in some forms and they didn't know about it. For example, Tetris Attack for the SNES, Pokemon Puzzle League for the N64, Pokemon Puzzle Challenge for the GBC and so-on.

This is the biggest hanging plot thread Puyo/Madou can never resolve because it hinges on Arle basically being sorcery Jesus, something every writer other than Kenji Oda and InaKen were opposed to. Poor Lilith, she deserves better.

Today is a busy day for keitai game preservation! User Chicken preserved #PuyoPuyo Fever Habanero from a D903i! This was exclusively released for keitai in 2007, and it's similar to Puyo Puyo Fever 2. Prior to this, there were apparently only 8 screenshots of it online!

I've been thinking about why the Japanese fandom's reaction to PuyoTet2S is so much more positive than the English fandom, and come to the realization that it's probably because A) Digital games never really caught on in Japan B) Japan has a VERY strong second hand market

It's extremely common to sell a game to Book Off (a big second hand store chain) when you want money for a new one. Their rates for "trade ins" are much better than Game Stops ever were. So that's probably what fans are planning to do for Tet2S.

THIS IS NOT AIMED AT ANYONE ON BLUESKY. I just saw some people on reddit claiming that Compile would never have done something like release Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S and, like... really? Let's do some fact checking, shall we?
TlDR: Two minimally different versions of Puyo Puyo Tsuu both released on the Super Famicom with a time difference of only 4 months, causing anyone who bought the game on release to get screwed out of an entire game mode lest they buy the whole thing again.

It was confirmed that 3rd party games that didn't have the feature shown in the direct will come as Switch 2 Expansion Pack editions (So basically DLC for the base game on Switch), and I hope that Includes Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S, because as much as I LOVE that game, I can't buy the *whole* thing again-
