Small fire out at McCutcheon high school

Wea Township firefighters were dispatched to McCutcheon High School around 12:45 a.m. Thursday with a report of smoke in the gym area.

Jake Burton, assistant principal at McCutcheon, said the fire started in the dryer area of the laundry room.

Fire chief Justin Common noted that the fire was contained to the dryer and quickly put out.
