This is the damage MAGA Republicans have done. While they’re busy chasing conspiracies and trying to score points on social media, real scientists are losing their funding, and other countries are stepping in to take them. Ardem Patapoutian, a Nobel Prize winning scientist who discovered how humans sense touch, had his federal research grant frozen after the Trump administration slashed science funding. Within hours of speaking out, China offered to move his lab to any city and any university he wanted, with guaranteed funding for the next 20 years.
This is not a movie. This is reality. This is how we lose our competitive edge. Instead of backing the minds that shape our future, Republicans are driving them out for the sake of political theater.
If you still support Trump after seeing this, then I don’t respect your stance. You are not helping the country. You are helping dismantle it.
When I worked at Sedgwick, I handled claims from a lot of MAGA Republicans who got hurt working in factories. These were people dealing with serious back pain from years of bending, climbing, lifting, and operating machinery. They were in pain, they needed help, and yet they keep voting for the same politicians who gut science, cut funding for medical research, and block real advancements in treating chronic pain.
How fucking dumb do you have to be to sabotage your own future like that? To believe conspiracy theories from a fascist movement so deeply that you would rather suffer than admit you’ve been lied to?
So to every MAGA Republican working in a factory with a bad back and chronic pain, keep suffering. You voted for it. You chose this. And frankly, you deserve what you get.
