These Contest Rules set out the rules that govern the “Monster Hunter Wilds” Weapon and Pendant Design Contest (“Contest”) promoted by Capcom Co., Ltd. (“Capcom”) for participants in Asia, excluding the Middle East, Japan and the Republic of India (the “Asia” region).
- 1 Contest Description.
- Persons residing in Asia region (each, an “Entrant”) may submit art design of a weapon (any of the 14 kinds of weapons available as of June 3rd, 2025) or a pendant for Monster Hunter Wilds (the “Game”). Entrants may submit multiple art designs, but each Entrant is limited to 1 winning entry. These Contest Rules apply only to Entrants in the designated territories. Entrants from the North America, South America, Central America, Europe, the Middle East (and the Republic of India), Africa, and Oceania (“Americas and EMEA”), and Japan are subject to and governed by the respective Contest Rules for those territories.
Art designs (“Designs”) must comply with the following specifications: (i) format: jpg or png digital files (Display Aspect Ratio: 16:9), (ii) resolution: 72 DPI, and (iii) file size: up to 2MB. Designs may utilize any drawing technique, however, the use of generative AI is prohibited. Designs must be submitted via X (formerly known as Twitter) by posting the Design with the designated hashtag as follows, depending on the kind of designs.

Each Design submission will be considered an individual entry, referred to as an “Entry.”
This Contest is free to enter and no purchase of any kind is necessary. The deadline to submit your Entry is 7:59 Universal Time Coordinated (UTC) on June 24th, 2025.
- 2 Selection of Winners and Contest Prize.
- First Screening: Selected members from Capcom’s Research and Development team (“R&D”) will nominate twenty (20) weapon designs and twenty (20) pendant designs, a total of forty (40) Designs from all the submitted Entries. These forty (40) designs will be subject to second screening.
Second Screening: Capcom will establish a dedicated voting website for this Contest (to be announced at a later date, hereinafter referred to as the “Voting Website”). The results of the user voting (hereinafter referred to as “Public Voting”) conducted on the Voting Website will determine the eight (8) designs with the most votes for each category (weapons and pendants), totaling sixteen (16) designs, which will be selected as the winning entries (the entrants of these designs will be referred to as “Contest Winners”). The winning Entries will be proceeded to the final screening.
Finals: R&D will select one (1) grand winner (the “Grand Winner”) for each of weapon and pendant.
Prize: (i) All sixteen (16) Contest Winnerswill each receive a credit within the staff-role; and (ii) Designs of the 2 (two) Grand Prize Winners will be featured in the Game in a form and manner to be decided by Capcom at a later date in its sole discretion ((i), and (ii) together, the “Prize”). The details of the exclusive titles mentioned above will be announced separately. A Capcom representative will contact the Contest Winners within twenty (20) days of the announcement of the Contest Winners to explain the Prize timeline and full details of the Prize will be communicated to the Contest Winners in due course.
Additional information of the Prize and the Contest will be available at the Contest website (the “Campaign Website.”)
The total monetary value of the Prize is $0.
- 3 Contest Period.
- The Contest is open from 8:00 UTC June 3rd, 2025 and closes 7:59 UTC on June 24th, 2024. Your Entry must be received within this period.
- 4 Eligibility.
- The Contest is open to residents of the Americas, except for (i) employees of Capcom, their families, agents or anyone professionally connected with the Contest or (ii) residents in any such country where local laws prohibit or restrict participation in the Contest. If you are a resident in the Japan, Asia, or EMEA regions, please refer to the respective Contest Rules for those territories.
The Contest is open to all individuals thirteen (13) years old and older. All Entrants that are at least 13 years old, but under the age of majority in their jurisdiction (a “Minor”), must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to register for, submit an Entry in, and participate in the Contest. The parent or legal guardian of a Minor must agree to the Terms and Conditions on behalf of the Entrant. Capcom will not knowingly allow children under the age of thirteen (13) or Minors without parental or guardian permission to submit an Entry.
The Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by local law.
- 5 Entry Submission and Design Requirements.
- Entries must be submitted via X using the designated X (formerly known as Twitter) hashtag as designated below:
For weapon entry: #MHWilds #WeaponEntry
For pendant entry: #MHWilds #PendantEntry
Entrants must also follow the Monster Hunter Wilds X Account (@MH_Wilds). This is necessary for Capcom to send notification to Prize Winners by direct message function of X, so please make sure you follow the above account and not to unfollow during the Contest.
Submitted Designs must comply with the following specifications:
i. format: jpg or png digital files (Display Aspect Ratio: 16:9);
ii. resolution: 72 DPI; and
iii. file size: up to 2MB.
The Design must be the Entrant’s original creative work which has not been previously published or entered into other competitions. Any drawing technique is allowed in creating the Design, however, the use of generative AI is prohibited. You may submit multiple Entries. If there is any omission or false statement at any stage of the Entry, your Entry will become void. Capcom reserves the right to reject Entries that, in the reasonable opinion of Capcom, do not meet the Entry submission requirements. This Contest is free to enter and no purchase of any kind is necessary.
- 6 Selection of Contest Winners.
- As stated above, Winners will be selected from all eligible Entries received during the Contest period according to the following process:
• First Screening: R&D will nominate twenty (20) Designs each for weapon and pendant, total of forty (40) Designs on the basis of originality, creativity, and Design feasibility (the “Criteria”) as the first screening passers; and
• Second Screening: Eight Designs each for weapon and pendant, total of sixteen(16) Contest Winners will be determined by a public voting process. A CAPCOM ID will be required to participate in voting, and each CAPCOM ID will be able to vote once. In the event of a tie, there will be no tie-breakers and all designs of the same score will be the Contest Winners.
• Finals: R&D will select one (1) Grand Winner for weapon and pendant, based on the Criteria.
Where multiple Entries are submitted, each Entrant is only eligible to win one Prize.
More details about the voting methods and other relevant information will be posted in the Campaign Website during the Contest period. Capcom’s determination of the voting results will be final and not subject to audit or challenge.
Capcom may disqualify any Entry, even after winning the Prize, where it determines that the Design:
i. infringes intellectual property rights or any other rights of a Third Party;
ii. has been submitted to another contest, assigned to a Third Party, licensed to a Third Party, or posted by the Entrant on any website other than X;
iii. offends against public order or decency;
iv. does not comply with these Contest Rules; or
v. is inappropriate to the Contest for any other reason as determined in Capcom’s sole discretion.
If the Entry is nominated as a Contest Winner, Capcom may ask the Entrant for additional submissions such as a higher resolution version of the Design and a .psd file.
- 7 Notifications.
- First Screening Announcement. The first screening passers are scheduled to be publicly announced on July 11th, 2025.
Contest Winner Notification. Contest Winners will be announced publicly on July 25th, 2025 (subject to reasonable changes by Capcom), and Contest Winners will be notified within twenty (20) days of the announcement, via direct message from Capcom, to the X account from which the respective Entry was submitted. Notified Grand Prize Winners must respond to the selection notice to claim their Prize by responding within three (3) days of first contact. If the Winner doesn’t respond by the designated date, the Winner will be deemed to have declined the Prize. In that case, the Winner will forfeit the rights to receive the Prize and Capcom may select a new winner in its sole discretion.
Notified Contest Winners will be required to provide Capcom the following information:
i. Name preference;
• Choose between the following:
a. Full name;
b. Display name (if so, please provide); or
c. No name mentioned in public post
ii. Age; and
iii. Country of residence.
Grand Winner Announcement. Grand Winners will be announced on September 27th, 2025 (subject to reasonable changes by Capcom). The Grand Winners will then be required to sign and submit documents including an Assignment form assigning copyright in the submission to Capcom and granting Capcom the right to use the submission as described below, except where prohibited by law (together, the "Packet") within the time period designated by Capcom. If the Grand Winner is a Minor, the Packet must be signed by the Minor's parent or legal guardian. Failure to timely return the Packet or refusal to sign the Packet will result in forfeiture of the finalist spot, and Capcom shall hold the right to award it to another Entrant.
Even if an Entry does not win the Contest, Capcom may still contact the Entrant if the Design is of high quality. Capcom cannot answer any questions about the process or reason of the Winner selection, and all selections are made in Capcom’s sole discretion.
Winners’ names will be available on request by submitting inquiries at Monster Hunter support form
(https://www.monsterhunter.com/support/wilds/en/top).
Means of submitting information or documents will be designated by Capcom separately.
- 8 Personal Information.
- Capcom may collect certain information of Entrants in relation to the Contest, as described below:
Information collected
・X account name, X user name
・Name, nickname
・Email address, postal address, and other contact information
・Date of birth, age
Purpose of use
・Selection of winners (including the voting process) and notification to winners
・Right clearance and related administrative purposes pursuant to Section 12
・Awarding prize to winners
・Compliance with laws and regulations depending on country of residence and/or age
Collected information will be appropriately destroyed after the purpose of use is fulfilled.
Capcom may share your personal data with the third parties and/or Capcom Affiliates (including our Affiliates in the United States of America) solely for the purposes specified above. Entrants from the Asia region may be notified of the outcome of the Contest by one of Capcom’s affiliates (e.g. Capcom Singapore Pte. Ltd.) and may be asked to provide such information as is reasonably necessary to enable Capcom to perform its obligations under these Contest Rules. In addition, the names or nicknames of Contest Winners may be published online or in print, subject to express consent of those Contest Winners.
Capcom may share your personal data with its affiliates, contractors or other service providers solely for the purposes specified above. Entrants agree to be contacted by such affiliates, contractors or service providers in connection with the Contest, such as notification of winning. Capcom will ensure that such recipients will be bound by appropriate safeguards. In addition, the names or nicknames of Contest Winners may be published online or in print, subject to express consent of those Contest Winners.
Capcom will ensure that Entrants’ data shared with recipients located outside your place of residence will be subject to appropriate safeguards. These safeguards may include standard data protection clauses or binding corporate rules approved by the European Commission or compliance with any applicable Adequacy Decision issued by the European Commission.
In addition to the above purposes, in entering the Contest you agree that we store your personal data included in contact forms and/or communications with you for archival purposes, which is for our legitimate interests in keeping an archive of our general correspondence.

- 9 Representations of Originality.
- By submitting an Entry, you represent and warrant that: except for any Capcom content or intellectual property from which you may have taken inspiration to create your Entry, (i) your entry is original and created by you, and you own the Design or otherwise have obtained all required rights, consents, permissions, and clearances necessary to grant the assignment set forth in Section 10, below, (ii) if the Entry includes images of you and others, you have secured from each of the others all required rights, consents, permissions, and clearances necessary to grant the license set forth in Section 11, below; (iii) your Entry does not violate any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights, (iv) submitting your Entry to Capcom and any use thereof by Capcom will not violate any third-party rights, and (v) you will provide to Capcom, at Capcom’s request, written confirmation that you have obtained all required rights, consents, permissions, and clearances referenced in Sections 9(i) and 9(ii), above. You agree to pay all royalties, fees, and any other monies owed to any Third Party by reason of any Entry submitted by you. You also represent and warrant that you have not created your Design using generative AI.You acknowledge that you do not own the rights to any Monster Hunter game graphics or other content or any other Capcom character, theme, music, video, game, artwork, sound effect, other creative asset, or intellectual property from Monster Hunter or any other Capcom titles from which you may have taken inspiration to create your Entry, and that such remains the property of Capcom or its licensors.
- 10 Assignment to Capcom.
- By submitting an Entry, you hereby irrevocably assign, convey, and otherwise transfer, and will assign, convey, and otherwise transfer, to Capcom Co., Ltd., without compensation, all rights, title, and interests worldwide in and to the Work Product (as defined below) and all proprietary rights therein, including without limitation, all patents, copyrights, trademarks, design patents, trade secret rights, moral rights and all contract and licensing rights, and all claims and causes of action of any kind with respect to any of the foregoing, whether now known or hereafter to become known. “Work Product” means the Design, drawings, characters, computer software, artwork, discoveries, works of authorship, formulae, processes, manufacturing techniques, inventions, improvements and ideas solely or jointly conceived, developed or reduced to practice in connection with your Entry. To the extent any work done by Entrant hereunder falls within one or more of the categories enumerated in part (2) of the definition of a “work made for hire” in the Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 101), as in effect on the first day of the Contest Period, Capcom Co., Ltd., and Entrant hereby expressly agree that such work shall be deemed to be a work made for hire and Capcom Co., Ltd. shall be the authors of such work.
For the avoidance of doubt, you acknowledge and agree that Capcom:
i. Shall own all rights, title, and interest in and to the Design;
ii. May alter or modify the Design, in whole or in part, in Capcom’s sole discretion; and
iii. Are not obligated to notify you in advance of any usage of the Design.
- 11 Disputes.
- In the event of a dispute over an Entry, an Entry will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the X account submitting the Entry at the time of submission. An authorized account holder is a natural person who is assigned to the X account by an internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning the account associated with the submitted X account. The Winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.
- 12 Licenses.
- By submitting an Entry, you hereby grant to Capcom, and each of its affiliated companies, a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free license to use your name, age, social media account, e-mail address, city and state of residence, or other information supplied by you (“Personal Information”) to identify your Entry in the Uses, without any obligation of attribution or compensation to you. As used herein, “Uses” shall mean the inclusion of your Entry in Capcom’s video game Monster Hunter Wilds; uploading and posting of your Entry (or derivative works thereof) on the Capcom (or its affiliates’) social media page, Capcom websites or any other site hosted or sponsored by Capcom; and otherwise the exploitation of your Entry (or derivative works thereof) in any format or medium now or later developed, including, but not limited to, merchandising, events, and other promotional activities. You understand that the Uses licensed to Capcom may include: public display of your Entry on Capcom-sponsored and unrelated websites; creation of Entry collection including your Entry and the photos, video, and text of other Entrants for commercial sale; and incorporation of your Entry into Capcom video game products. Capcom grants the Entrants a non-exclusive, revocable, limited license to utilize Capcom’s intellectual property rights associated with the Game solely for the purpose of creating the Designs for an Entry.
- 13 Disclaimer.
- Capcom shall not be obligated to use your Entry in any manner other than for the Contest purposes.
- 14 Release.
- By submitting an Entry, you thereby release Capcom, its parent, subsidiaries, and affiliates, and each of their officers, directors, employees and agents (the “Released Parties”), from any and all liability with respect to, or in any way arising from (i) your Entry (or derivative works thereof), or (ii) Capcom’s use of your Entry, your Personal Information, or your image, voice or appearance as described in these Contest Rules. You agree to never sue or assert any claim against the Released Parties for any use of your Entry, Personal Information or your image, or appearance as described in these Contest Rules.
- 15 Limitation of Liability.
- You agree that (a) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action between you and Capcom arising out of, or connected with the Contest or any Prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (b) any and all claims, judgments, liabilities and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Contest, and in no event shall you be entitled to recover attorneys’ fees; and (c) under no circumstances will you be permitted to and you hereby waive all rights to claim or recover punitive, incidental, consequential and/or special damages, any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased, and/or any other damages other than out-of-pocket expenses. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. Failure to enforce any term of these Contest Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that term.
- 16 INDEMNIFICATION.
- YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY, DEFEND, AND HOLD HARMLESS THE RELEASED PARTIES FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DAMAGES, EXPENSES, COSTS (INCLUDING REASONABLE ATTORNEYS’ FEES) AND LIABILITIES (INCLUDING SETTLEMENTS), BROUGHT OR ASSERTED BY ANY THIRD PARTY AGAINST ANY OF THE RELEASED PARTIES DUE TO OR ARISING OUT OF YOUR ENTRY OR CAPCOM’S USE OF YOUR ENTRY, INCLUDING CLAIMS FOR TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT, COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT, VIOLATION OF AN INDIVIDUAL’S RIGHT OF PUBLICITY OR OF PRIVACY, OR DEFAMATION.
- 17 Choice of Law.
- These Contest Rules shall be governed by the laws of Japan. Any litigation arising out of these Contest Rules or your submission of an Entry shall be brought to the Tokyo District Court in Tokyo, Japan as the court of first instance.
- 18 Exclusion.
- Capcom reserves the right to exclude any Entrant or any Entries which it deems to be offensive or improper in any way at its sole discretion. Capcom is in no way obliged to use any Entry and reserves the right to reject participation upon suspicion of foul play and usage of the Contest.
- 19 Non-Transferable Prizes.
- All Prizes are non-transferable. No cash alternative is available for any Prize. The choice of the Prizes shall be solely at Capcom’s discretion; Capcom arranges this Contest in good faith but cannot accept any liability relating to Prizes offered.
- 20 Cancellation.
- If for any reason the Contest (i) cannot be executed as planned, or (ii) infection by computer virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, action of entrants, technical failures or any other cause which in Capcom's opinion corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest, then Capcom reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. In the event of any cancellation, termination modification or suspension of the Contest, Capcom will post a notice at the site on which the Contest is announced.
- 21 Promoter.
- The promoter of this Contest is Capcom Co., Ltd., 3-1-3 Uchihiranomachi, Chuo-ku, Osaka, Japan 540-0037 (Capcom).
- 22 Change of Terms.
- Capcom reserves the right to change any term of the Contest any time with or without any cause. This Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by local law.
- 24 Confirmation.
- By entering the Contest, you confirm that you have read and agreed to be bound by these Contest Rules.
- 25 Language.
- This Contest Rules may be translated into a number of languages. In the event of any discrepancy between the English rule and the translated languages, the English rule shall prevail.
