China is a nation with deep connections to history. This is the tomb of Zhang Juzheng on his 500th birthday. Zhang was an accomplished prime minister of the Ming dynasty. He was a legalist who championed “rich nation and strong military”. A policy that is very relevant today. I wonder, do people of other countries have this type of connection to historic figures? Even when they aren’t that famous or deified religiously.
